This chapter contains the analysis and interpretation of the data gathered inside
the Warehousing and Logistics Department of Paperlink, Inc.
STRENGTHS WEAKNESSES
Analysis as perceived by the proponents inside the warehouse of the Warehousing and
Logistics Department of Paperlink, Inc from April 23 to April 26, 2018. As the table
shows, the department shows great promise by having the most number of Strengths
rather than any other factors. The proponents have observed six (6) Weaknesses and
one (1) each for the external factors – Opportunities and Threats. These data helped
the proponents identify which problems to solve first, given that the problems need
immediate attention and the possible solutions will provide a great impact to the

Table 2. Tabular Presentation of the Number of High Stockpiles and the Area occupied of the
stockpiles inside the warehouse of the Warehousing and Logistics Department of
Paperlink, Inc.
Table 2 presents the items or products that are stacked very high, the minimum
number of boxes that needs to be present inside the warehouse, the number of high
stockpiles per item and the area occupied as observed by the proponents inside the
warehouse of the Warehousing and Logistics Department of Paperlink, Inc from April 23
to April 26, 2018. The products listed in the table are the ones that produce the most
number of boxes because of their high demands, causing a great number of high
stockpiles inside the warehouse. It can be seen from the table that Victory Yellow Ruled
Pad has the most number of high stockpiles inside the warehouse with three (3). Six (6)
items has the lowest number of high stockpiles with one (1). While having only one (1)
high stockpile each, Victory Yarn Notebook and Victory Composition Notes occupy the
largest space with 9,745.85 in.2 and 7,420.06 in.2, respectively. Vision Record Books
(135mm x 210mm), despite having two (2) high stockpiles, occupy the least number of
space with 2,439.77 in.2 per stack. Overall, there are 17 high stockpiles inside the
Table 3 indicates the measured vertical allowance from the ceiling of some items
with high stockpiles inside the warehouse. From the samples taken, it can be observed
that the stockpile Victory Spiral Notebook has formed produced the lowest vertical
allowance from the ceiling, meaning that this is the highest stockpile from the samples.
On the other hand, Victory Writing Notes has the lowest stockpile, producing 80 inches
stockpiles inside the warehouse and the space beside the stockpile available for re-
stacking. It can be observed that the space beside the stockpile of Victory Composition
Notes has the largest area with12,158.1 in.2. Overall, all of the areas of the space
Diagram 1 shows the Ishikawa Diagram for the problem about the “Increased
dilemma are the lack of storage containments and stocking beyond limit, misplaced
material handling equipments and improper storage methods, and the negligence of
safety precautions and lack of storage limit awareness of the personnel/workers inside
the warehouse.
Diagram 2. Ishikawa Diagram for the Space Maximization Problem
Diagram 2 represents the Ishikawa Diagram for the problem regarding Space
Maximization. The possible causes of this issue are over/under-stacking and blocked
pathways/aisles, the lack of vertical allowance (from ceiling), improper space allocation,
