Biopulsar-Reflexograph® Technical Manual USB – Version 4.6

Notes to the electromagnetic Compatibility

The Biopulsar-Reflexograph® USB is qualified for the use in all institutions including medical practices, living
quarters und those which are directly connected to public power supply, which is also supplying buildings for
residential purposes.

The Biopulsar-Reflexograph® USB is destined for the use in the quoted electromagnetic environment. The
client or user has to assure, that the device is used in the described electromagnetic area.

The Biopulsar-Reflexograph® USB uses HF energy only for its own function. Therefore the emitted
interference of high-frequency disturbances is very low and the possibility to interfere with other devices,
used in its proximity, is improbable. Nevertheless you should consider that collective use of the Biopulsar-
Reflexograph® USB with other devices can lead to interferences to the Biopulsar-Reflexograph® USB or other
devices. For this reason you should mind that the Biopulsar-Reflexograph® USB is not used directly next to or
above the PC or another electromagnetic device.

If an arrangement of the Biopulsar-Reflexograph® USB next to medical, analogue measuring devices cannot
be avoided, the user of those measuring devices has to be informed, that an observation of the results of the
device is necessary, in order to control the consumption of the device according to the regulations in the
chosen configuration.

Electronic devices are sensitive to electrostatic discharge and high-frequency electromagnetic fields. In order
to prevent disruption of operations, static of the user has to be avoided by ESD electronic protective
measures (use of antistatic materials).

In order to avoid ESD interferences, floors should be made of wood / concrete or ceramic tiles. If the floor
consists of synthetic material the relative humidity of the air should be minimum 30 %.

In order to avoid interferences of the Biopulsar-Reflexograph® USB through high frequencies the user should
have a minimum distance to portable and mobile HF telecommunication devices of 1 m.

Servicing
There are no technical safety controls necessary. If, however, there is the suspicion that the measuring
results are not correct, the device should be sent to the manufacturer for a check-up.

Cleaning of the Biofeedback Sensor and Measuring Fields

Before cleaning separate the device from the USB cable.

For the cleaning and disinfection of the gold plated measuring electrodes use a cloth slightly moisturized with
disinfectant. The cloth must not be wet.

Pay attention that no moisture penetrates to the interior of the cage, as it could destroy the sensitive
electronics.

Abrasive or other aggressive cleaning agents and disinfections are not usable for the cleaning disinfecting of
the surface.

If the measuring fields become dusty you can clean it with a dry brush of soft hair. The dust does not
influence the measuring results.

area is known.

Environmental Protection

Public regulations with specific instructions for the disposal of this device can exist. Please
contact the distributor or manufacturer of this device before you place it out of operation
ultimately.

Hardware

Connection of the Biofeedback Sensor to the PC

The hardware of the Biopulsar-Reflexograph® is built up in different

modules. In our product range are One-Hand and Two-Hand Sensors of
two different sizes or Three Hand Sensors. The measuring field of the
Hand-Sensor consists of a printed board with marked segments,
corresponding to the reflex zones of the palm. The measuring electrodes
of different size grant a better contact with the normal anatomy of the
palm.
Pressure points of the measuring electrodes, which can remain on the
USB port surface of the skin, have no considerable influence on the accuracy of
Green LED light
the measuring results.

On the backside of the Biopulsar-Reflexograph® you will see:

• the USB port

• A green LED light that indicates whether your device is ready for measuring or in standby-mode
(=blinking).

Start
Connection of the Biofeedback sensor to the PC and installation of the software.

Important!
Start your PC regularly, however, without the Biofeedback Sensor (hardware) connection.

Install the Biopulsar® software Æ see “Installation of the Biopulsar® Software-Modules”.

Shut down your PC and restart it.

Plug in one end of the USB connection cable into the USB port on the backside of the aura sensor and the
other end into the USB port on your PC. Now your system will recognize automatically the new hardware.
The lamp at the Biofeedback Sensor will blink green.

Installation of the Biopulsar® Software Modules

The software of the Biopulsar-Reflexograph® is built up in modules.

The software installation comes in several steps:

Installation of the software CD1 (Basic software with modules)

Start of the Biopulsar® programme and register the software
Installation of the Auramed® Assistant Software Modules.

Step 1: Installation of the Biopulsar® Software

In order to start please put first CD1 into the CD-Rom drive. The installation starts automatically.
Follow the instructions.

Step 2: Registration
When you start the Biopulsar® software for the first time you will be asked for your name, address,
phone number and registration number.
Type in the exact data as printed on the supplementary sheet. If you type your address or phone
number differently, the registration number will not be accepted and the measuring functions cannot
be started.
If you have entered the data correctly and the programme does not start nevertheless, please
contact the producer under the telephone number +49- (0)7621-91529-0 or your distributor.
Any software, which comes with the Biopulsar-Reflexograph® system, will be registered to a certain
name. This assures that the correct name appears on the interpretation print-out.

Step 3: Installation of the Auramed® Assistant Software Modules

The additional software modules like the “Holistic Therapy Assistant” and the “Chromalive®” Software
or the “Chakra Texts” are on separate CDs. They will be integrated into the Biopulsar® software
through a separate installation.

For the installation of the Auramed® Assistant Software please go to chapter “Module Manager” on
page 14 of this manual.

Important! Communication between the Biofeedback Sensor and the PC

Before you can start measuring biofeedback data, you have to see that the data communication
between the sensor and the PC is established.
For that you have to go with the cursor on “Data” and activate “Communication”.
Once this function is activated, it will remain activated in case of restart.

Working with the Biopulsar-Reflexograph®

Once the hardware has been connected correctly and the software installed properly, you can start
working with it.

Biopulsar-Reflexograph® Technical Manual USB – Version 4.6

If you wish, you can pull out the little supporting legs at the bottom of the three-hand sensor, in order
to help the client to position his/her hand in a relaxed position on the hand model. Now the test
person places her/his hand on the fitting measuring field. Attention should be paid to the fact that all
measuring electrodes are touched properly. The elbow can be rested on the table and you can use a
flat cushion to support it.

If the test person does not touch all electrodes properly, you can help by placing her/his fingers
correctly and pressing her/his hand gently onto the electrodes so that maximum contact is assured.
On the screen you will see, that any physical movement will show immediate effects in the graphic
presentation. The colours of the aura will change accordingly.

A recording should not last longer than 2 minutes.

You can freeze the measurement by activating the “Clock”. After freezing the data the test person
can take the hand from the measuring field. Now you can save data if you wish to.

Optimal contact with the measuring electrodes

If a client has a deformed hand or if her/his palm or fingers are unable to

make proper contact on the measuring electrodes, do not apply force. In
those cases, it means that the data cannot be evaluated at all reflex zones
and thus the interpretation is incomplete.

There can be several reasons for a deformed hand, e.g. injury, surgery,
paralysis by infarct as well as natural arcampsia through hardening,
inflexible thinking and emotional patterns.

If the upper phalanges are too short to reach the upper measuring points (reflex zones of the head),
this data cannot be interpreted. The graphs of the untouched measuring electrodes range at the
zero line of the graph and the colours of the aura around the head are grey.

If you want to have good values nevertheless, you have to start interpreting the first graphs or aura.
After that you have to reposition your hand in order to touch the upper measuring electrodes. Now
you can interpret those measuring points separately.

In order to receive good measuring data the palm should not be too humid nor overly dry, greasy or
dirty. Therefore, you should first check the palm of the test person. If the hand is too humid, it should
be dried with a tissue first. Excess perspiration can be the result of nervousness, fear, inner heat or
instability.

If the hand is too dry we recommend putting a little electrode contact spray or gel onto the palm of
the test person's hand. You can purchase it in any pharmacy. You should spray some of it onto the
palm of the test person and wait until the hand is not too dry anymore. Now you can lay the hand
onto the measuring template. This increases the correctness of the measuring data. If the values
appear equally turquoise, the hand could still be too humid and this could falsify the measuring data.

It is the duty of the Biopulsar® user to see that measuring conditions are optimal.

• Pay attention that the aura measuring is being done in a quiet and harmonious environment.
• The test person is not wearing any rings or plaster on the measuring hand.
• All zones of the skin that are not in direct contact with the measuring electrodes can neither be
measured nor interpreted.

9
For research only!

HB-V-01.1engl.
Biopulsar-Reflexograph® Technical Manual USB – Version 4.6

• Ensure that the hand of the test person is lying on the electrodes in an optimal position.
• For your orientation, the palm of the test person should cover the palm of the measuring
template. If the fingertips are longer than those on the measuring template, the measuring data
could possibly be valuable, nevertheless.
• Please be as precise as possible when observing the measuring data.
• At all times pay close attention to your communication and to any response that your client
gives as to your aura analysis and interpretation, so that you do not give a shock to your client.
• Please observe the therapeutic laws!

The Biopulsar-Reflexograph® shows the subjective reaction pattern of the test person. Any change in
the environment, thoughts or emotions can influence the reaction pattern.
