Semester 2 Final
Analyzing the role of Women in a Dystopia

This year we have read a total of seven novels (SEVEN!) Each novel contains female characters portrayed in small and
large roles. For your semester 2 final, you will be assessing the role of women in dystopian novels and dystopias. To do
so, you will need to synthesize material from the novels we have read.

Your essay should:

 Include an established thesis stating what you think the role of women is in dystopian literature
 Draw an evidence from a minimum of three texts read in class
 Prove your thesis with analysis of the texts from class.
 Be in MLA format (Times New Roman, 12 pt. font, double spaced)
 Evidence should be cited in proper MLA format (AuthorLastName PageNumber)
