1. Identify stationary waves event of fixed ends and the loose ends.
2. Determine the location of the abdomen and vertices on stationary waves
fixed ends and the loose ends.
3. Determine the amplitude of stationary waves at the fixed ends and the loose

5. Distinguishes between stationary wave fixed ends and the loose ends.
6. Conduct the experiment for determine the relation between force of the rope
voltage with the wave propagation on the rope.
7. Presenting the results of the experiment for determine the relation between
force of the rope voltage with the wave propagation on the rope.

E. Subject Matter
1. Stationary Waves
Stationary waves are waves formed when two waves having the same
wavelength and amplitudes move in opposite directions at the same
velocity through a medium.
2. Stationary waves fixed ends
If one end of a rope is attached constantly to an object and the other end is
vibrated up and down, a stationary wave will be formed as shown in the
figure below.

Figure 1. Stationary waves generated from fixed end bounces

𝑦𝑝 = 𝑦𝑝1 + 𝑦𝑝2
𝑡 𝑙−𝑥 𝑡 𝑙+𝑥
𝑦𝑝 = 𝐴 sin 2𝜋 ( − ) − 𝐴 sin 2𝜋 ( − )
𝑇 𝜆 𝑇 𝜆
𝑡 𝑙−𝑥 𝑡 𝑙+𝑥
𝑦𝑝 = 𝐴 [sin 2𝜋 ( − ) − sin 2𝜋 ( − )]
𝑇 𝜆 𝑇 𝜆
3. Stationary waves loose ends

Figure 2. Stationary waves generated from loose end bounces

The stationary stationary drift equation of the free edge reflection
can be expressed simply. Because the reflected wave from the loose end is
in phase with the coming wave, then 𝑦𝑝1 = 𝐴 sin(𝑘𝑥 – 𝜔𝑡), while 𝑦𝑝2 =
𝐴 sin(−𝑘𝑥 – 𝜔𝑡) = 𝐴 sin(𝑘𝑥 + 𝜔𝑡) = – 𝐴 sin (𝑘𝑥 + 𝜔𝑡), so the
superposition of these two waves is in point P will obtain a deviation that
satisfies the following equation.
𝑦𝑝 = 𝑦𝑝1 + 𝑦𝑝2
𝑦𝑝 = 𝐴 sin(𝑘𝑥 – 𝜔𝑡) − 𝐴 sin(𝑘𝑥 + 𝜔𝑡)
𝑦𝑝 = 2𝐴 cos 𝑘𝑥 𝑠𝑖𝑛 𝜔𝑡
If 2𝐴 cos 𝑘𝑥 = 𝐴𝑝 , then
𝑦𝑝 = 𝐴𝑝 𝑠𝑖𝑛 𝜔𝑡

4. Melde’s Law
Melde's law learns about the magnitudes that affect the rapid transversal
wave propagation of the rope. Melde found that the rapid propagation of
waves in a wire is proportional to the root of the strand-tension force and
inversely proportional to the root of the long unity of wires.

J. Assessment, Remedy, and Enrichment

1. Assessment
a. Test assessment (Attached)
b. Questioner (Attached)
2. Remedy
a. Activity Planning
1) Students who have not reached the minimum capability set out in
the lesson plan
2) The provision of remedial learning programs is based on the
background that teacher need to pay attention to individual
differences in students
b. Form of Remedial Implementation
Some methods can be used to provide remedial:
1) Providing re-learning with different methods and media.
2) Giving special guidance, such as individual guidance.
3) Giving special training tasks.
4) And others, all of which end with a test
c. Technic of Remedial Learning
1) Individual assignment ends with a test (oral/written) if the total of
students who follow remedial maximum 20%
2) Group assignments end with individual assessments if the total of
students who follow remedies is less than 50%
3) Re-learning ends with an individual assessment when the total of
students who follow remedies is more than 50%
3. Enrichment: the teacher gives reading material form article about
stationary wave. Students who follow enrichment read and reviewing the
information at the same time with the other students remedial.
