Bldg. Where, A= Total Built Up Area.(i.e. Plinth Area xNo. of Floor) Steel: 4.5-4.75 kg
per Sqft of Built up Area for Residential Building. 5.0-5.5 kg per Sqft of Built up area
for Commercial Building. Formwork: (1). Shuttering = 6 times the quantity of

Ahmad Khan : it also depends on the target time. if you want to cast the next floor
before curing period of the 1st one, then the material required will be x2 specially the

Arvind Vyas : According to my experience on Various type of Structure formwork will

be 5 times of Concrete Volume.... Example The Total Concrete Qty. is 100 CUM then
Form work(Shuttering ) Qty Will be 100*5 =500 Sqm (Approximate) Posted: 1294 days

Sriharsha Md : I am working on Villa project. As per the data the calulation goes like for
1 Cum Concrete the requirement of shuttering is 11.71813333 Sqm On concretable area
for 1 Cum Concrete the requirement of shuttering is 3.767038414 Sqm On floor plate
area Shuttering required for 1 Sqm on BUA 3.110701842 Sqm On BUA Concrete

of components like Formwork /steel/Aggregate/Manpower etc,,, the person who worked
in planning and billing have details of same in the project.....This details may very by
type of construction and Load bearing capacity of area ( where designer change
components accordingly )
