Women in Military Service

Can women do the man’s job in the military? Many people believe there are major

differences between men and women, such as physical bodies and their life’s value. In the

military it is required to have strong body that fit in military hard work. However, women may

be as equal as men and work in military without any problems, thus both males and females are

qualified to be in the military due to the equality in strength and their life’s value.

One reason women should have combat roles is because of equality, nowadays women can

almost do every man job as efficient as men. For example, in the military men and women are

now the same and equally in all the military work including combat roles. With the modern

technology in the military and weapons it is now a lot easier for females to be in combat roles.

For instance, there are many lightweight weapons and tools that are useful and require no

physical strength like knives and guns, this put women and men in an equal place in the military

without any differences.

Another reason women should have combat roles is their life values, both men and

women should be treated equally in every field including the military service, because they are

the same in most of things including life values. Thus, women believe there shouldn’t be any

difference in treating depending on the gender, because at the end they are both human and have

the exact value. For example, in some countries women are allowed and free to do any job they

want including combat roles, whereas in other countries women are forbidden from combat roles

due to the differences in value between men and women.

On the other hand, many people believe military service is not the best place for women,

especially in combat roles. There are several reasons for their claims such as females’

disadvantages like the ability of handling the fight stress and the hard training in combat roles.

Moreover, it has been shown that men bodies are designed perfectly to control and handle heavy

things like weapons that weight 50kg or more. Furthermore, the physical strength is better and

stronger than women and there is no comparison between them in combat roles. Thus, the

military environment is not designed for women to work in, and may not be as good in the

combat roles as men.

In conclusion, women and men are equal in many fields including the military combat roles.

Women should not be limited in work and should be allowed to work in any field as long as she

can do it as efficient as men, because of the equality of both men and women. Also, in the future

men may not be enough in military and there should be women to give an advantage.
