Dear Mr. Fleur and Mr.

Loden,

Thank you for your response.

We would like to renew our offer to meet and discuss this matter further.

Your trip is being celebrated by Israeli diplomatic missions as a political tour that supports
Israel’s unilateral declaration of Jerusalem as its capital, in contravention of international law
and international consensus. The Israeli government plans to make use of your tour to
legitimize its violent, repressive policies. Just Friday, the Israeli government ordered Israeli
army snipers to open fire on unarmed Palestinian protesters in the Israeli occupied Gaza
Strip, killing 17 Palestinians and wounding over 1400 hundred more.

During your trip, you are scheduled to meet with Miri Regev, the Israeli Minister of Culture and
Sport, and former Israeli army spokesperson. Regev referred to African asylum seekers as “a
cancer” and apologized a few days later to cancer survivors, for likening them to Black
people.

Regev introduced a “loyalty in culture” bill to deny funding to cultural activities that
“contravene the principles of the state.” And she recently posted a video of herself with fans of
one of Israel’s most racist soccer clubs as they shouted genocidal chants of “burn your
village” directed at their Palestinian opponents in the game.

We’re sure you agree that such racism contradicts any vision of “brotherly and sisterly love”
and “peace and tolerance.” We once again urge you to cancel your trip to Israel, which will be
exploited to lend credibility to Israeli government repressive policies.

We would appreciate your response by the close of business on Tuesday, April 3.

Sincerely,

Philadelphia Don’t Orchestrate Apartheid Campaign
