(Overview)

General Santos City is currently experiencing housing backlog that reaches up to 18,000 individuals (as
per city planning figure of 2017) on which the Local Government Unit and other Government agency
cannot cope up.
One of its cause is due to continuing influx of migrants from other regions and localities in search for
Jobs, Investments and business opportunities which the city has so much to offer.
Power plant facilities, canneries and the recent ground breaking of the 80 hectare property of the
University of Santo Tomas will also add up to the influx.
To address such problem, the local government unit, its housing sector and the city economic
development office is urging Developers, private sector and Non-government organization to take part
in addressing the problem by way of housing investments and conversion of idle agricultural lands into
residential lots available for sale to qualified individuals thru direct cash purchase or installment basis.

(Project Scheme)

To take part in the solution of housing backlogs, there are agricultural lands owned by private
individuals which are offered for sale in hectares. The scheme is to acquire these areas by way of
negotiated purchase from the land owner and convert the area into subdivision lots (raw land only
without housing component) in accordance to BP220 of city planning code. These subdivision lots will
then be offered to all individuals who are willing to avail of the program.

All figures and details are to be discussed further as soon as site visitation and negotiation with the land
owner will take place. Estimated selling period is minimum of 6 months to maximum of 1 year. Legal
documents, its transition, signatory matters and protocols are also to be discussed personally so as to
attain security of transaction to all concern. All ground works, field activities and admin operation will be
