Second Life is an online virtual world, developed and owned by the San Francisco-based firm Linden Lab and

launched on June 23, 2003. In many ways, Second Life is similar to massively multiplayer online role playing
games; however, Linden Lab is emphatic that their creation is not a game: "There is no manufactured conflict,
no set objective". Second Life users/residents create virtual representations of themselves, called avatars, and
are able to interact with places, objects, and other avatars. They can explore the world, meet other residents,
socialize, participate in both individual and group activities, build, create, shop and trade virtual property and
services with one another. The platform principally features 3D-based user-generated content.

“The virtual world is a phenomenal place to market, because you can interact with
consumers in a way that doesn’t happen in the real world,” says Glenn Fisher, director of
marketing programs for Linden Lab. Second Life and it’s viable economic system combine the markets of the
real life with the virtual world. It is an advantage that Second Life has its own economy and a virtual token
referred to as Linden Dollars. In the SL economy, users are able to buy and sell to one another directly, using
the Linden Dollars, which is a closed-loop virtual token for use within the Second Life platform. This seems

effectively. Major businesses have grasped Second Life's concepts and learned how to use the virtual world to

1. How many people can I reach with my advertising in Second Life?
Second Life has more then 7+ million registered users at this time and 900,000 active users a month.

2. Second Life is a free to play game, will my advertising generate any returns
for my project?
The residents in Second Life are able to play for free, but for a better (virtual) life they have to spent money on
different kinds of virtual goods like houses, cars, bikes, clothing, land rental and so on. SL residents get payouts
of $60 million in real-world money every year by a virtual economy that has more than $500 million in GDP
every year. Second Life is a world of opportunities. So clearly YES, we are sure that advertising in virtual
worlds such as SL are always worthwhile.

3. What are the advertising costs and how long will the advertising last?
We charge between 2- 3 ETH (or equivalent to your own project token/coins). 2 ETH is the cost of the ad-space
