Action Plan
Objective: Climate change, a problem that we have faced as a world for many years. Not only
has it destroyed our atmosphere, but the way we live and how it affects us in so many ways.
Climate change is not something that should be taken lightly. If we don’t control it then our
world could be destroyed by the people living on it. The objective of this project is to bring to
light the problems that climate change can do to us and the world. I want to show people that
there is a way to slow down climate change really fast. Some people might think that it is to
expensive, but in Europe if you don’t own a car they allow you to have a cheaper life style. If we
can slow down climate change people can live happier lives. For example if the temperatures
start to go down then more and more crops will start to grow back in bulk. This leads to more
money and better economy. Politically it will be the hardest to get the US into this simply
because Trump has pulled us out of the Paris Agreement. I believe that if we can get all the other
continents to join in he will have no other options. The world is starting to realize the effects of
climate change and they are making great efforts to help slow it down. It is time for the rest of
Community Outlook: The community should join in this is because your life depends on it.
Climate change is no joke, and should be taken seriously. Donald Trump has showed the world
that he doesn’t care about climate change. One person should not affect everyone’s point of view
of climate change. Countries over Europe are making strong pushes and making this world a
better place. They want to extend our time on this world, because it is a beautiful place. If you
look at other countries around the world you can see some of the negative effects of climate
change. For example there is smog all over the world. Mostly in Los Angeles, Mexico, countries
in Asia, and other countries as well. Smog can not only cause damage to the atmosphere but to
the people. You can suffer from respiratory infections. Overall there needs to be more
regulations in place for factories not producing all this smog. Smog is only one example of what
could happen if we don’t do something soon. The world itself is slowly dying and the people
who live on it need to start to appreciate it more and do something so we can live on this planet
History: Climate change is a problem that most people would like to get rid of, if not slow it
down. There is a lot of problems that may be easy to solve and others that may not be solvable.
There are many small issues that can be solved to help significantly. For example getting rid of
cars who use a lot of gas and diesel. Or banning cars around certain areas and or for a couple
months. Maybe even having no cars and just having public transportation, walking, and riding a
bus. Around the world many countries have started to take action to try and slow down the
climate change. These ways are very helpful to get to start to get rid of climate change in our
beautiful world.
Recently the US has not done anything to help change the self - pollution of the world.
To help change that a bunch of 20 year olds have jumped into action. The other day 34 student
groups from across the USA, and 23 of them being republican, formed a group called Students
for Carbon Dividends. This group has called for the national legislation to help fight against the
climate change. The group has teamed up with the Baker - Shultz plan. This plan is to impose an
expensive tax on the carbon pollution while it takes away from the regulations of the
Environmental Protection Agencies. This plan has 4 major components to it. For one it puts a
$40 tax on each ton of carbon monoxide that is put up into the atmosphere. Because of this tax it
raises the gasoline prices by 36 cents. The group is denying that they make money from these
rules. They want to give back to the American families by giving them a monthly check that
could be up to $2,000. It is estimated that with following these guidelines it could prevent up to
16.8 billion tons of carbon pollution going into the atmosphere. (Robinson Meyer, 2018).
In many countries around the world they are making an effort to reduce pollution in the
air. Many different countries are all doing certain things to help with climate change in their own
ways. Most of these countries are starting to ban cars in certain areas. They are also spending a
lot of money on public transportation and bicycle lanes. For example in Freiburg, Germany
people are offered cheaper housing, free public transportation, and a lot of bicycle spaces if they
don’t have a car. In Freiburg they have over 500 km of bike routes, tramways, and climate
healthy public transportation. In a city in Freiburg, Vauban, you have to pay 18,000 euros to get
a parking spot on the edge of town. Also in Zurich, Switzerland they started to take away parking
spots across the city. Because of this the only allow a certain amount of cars into the city at a
particular point everyday. They are building more car free areas including plazas, tramways, and
only pedestrian allowed streets. By allowing only a certain amount of cars in the city there has
been less traffic. Other countries are doing similar things like Paris, Delhi, Netherlands, and
This post is important because it shows that around the world want to help with climate
change. They are working on ideas to help not pollute the world as much as we do already. Many
countries make you pay a lot more money for things if you own a car, so people might look away
at that because it might be too expensive. I want to know more about how they will plan on
stopping people from not claiming they have a car, but they really do. Also how will the people
of these countries feel about this. Next will be an action plan being put in place. The action plan
is how I plan to fix climate change in ways similar to these and different ways. These two
articles help with my research for this action plan. I never would have thought of doing these
things that these countries are doing. It is very important to show the world that there is countries
that really think that climate change is a problem and that we need to slow it down drastically.
Overview: The action plan below consist of the Students of Carbon Dividends and their local
governments with goal of establishing a better world by changing different thing to make sure
there are not as many emissions going into the atmosphere. They want to make some simple
moves to make this world a better place. They are basing their ideas off what they are doing out
in Europe. There has been great success in Europe with these plans, and of we can improvise
them and Americanise them it can work well for us. All we need is support from the government
and people throughout the country to allow us to make these great changes in our wonderful
world.
