Essential Learnings (What do you want the students to learn about your culture?)

We want for them to understand the causes of the conflict and how World War II affected the country. Also
we would like for them to understand the conditions that are currently taking place for Palestinians and
Israelis.

Activities:

● Give them name tags as they walk in
● Class Activities (4:00) 1. Hand students a number as they walk
○ -pre quiz on powerpoint in to show what group they will be in.
● Stations (8:00 for each station) (Stamp Sheet) 2. Give them name tags and have them

how Palestine has changed in

quick write in the perspective
of a Palestinian.

The english portion of the lesson involves analyzing texts from our book.
The social studies portion involves history of the war, causes and effects, culture and food, and also the
importance of location.
