1. Coastal Engineering: it studies the processes that occur in the marine coast and
its interaction with constructions and maritime works. The Coastal Engineering
studies the phenomena related to the erosion of coasts, seizure of navigable
accesses as well as how to carry out Civil Engineering projects in marine
environments.
2. Construction engineering: studies and interprets the different plans made by
the civil engineer next to the architect, to obtain the constructive solution that meets
those specifications.
3. Earthquake engineering: is the study of the behavior of buildings and structures
subject to seismic loading. It is the set of structural and civil engineering.
4. Environmental engineering: it is the branch of engineering that studies the
environmental problems of the scientific and integrated form, taking into account the
scientific, chemical, ecological, biological, geological, social, economic and
technological dimensions, with the objective of promoting a sustainable
development.
5. Geoterials engineering: is the branch of engineering that studies renewable
energy that uses the heat of the subsoil to climatize and obtain sanitary hot water in
an ecological way.
6. Materials or urban engineering: is the branch of engineering that studies the
principles of engineering and urban planning in the creation, planning, and
management of cities and regions in a sustainable way combining humanistic,
technical and scientific knowledge.
7. Municipal or urban engineering: it is a branch of Engineering that aims to study
and solve technical issues that have to do with the development of Municipalities.
8. Structural engineering: it is a classic branch of civil engineering that deals with
the design and calculation of the structural part in structural elements and systems.
Buildings such as buildings, bridges, retaining walls, dams, tunnels and other civil
Works.
9. Transportation engineering: is responsible for the planning, design, operation
and administration of the facilities of any mode of transport in order to provide a safe,
convenient, economical and environmentally friendly movement of goods and
people.
10. Water resources engineering: is responsible for designing and helping projects
that make possible the rational use of natural resources, especially water.
