As a dentist office that is on the rise of expansion, Sunrise Dental, must be searching for the right
qualifiable staff to fill the opening positions. I have recently completed an associate’s degree in
dental hygiene. I am writing because I am interested in the opening position that Sunrise Dental
has. My knowledge and training is very up to date in the field and I have many clinical hours that
have provided different patient treatment varying from none to advanced periodontal disease
treatment.

As a dental hygienist I believe that it is my professional commitment to improve the oral health
of the public, to advance the art and science of dental hygiene, and to promote high quality
patient care. I vow to uphold this standard to every patient that walks through Sunrise Dental. I
am confident that I will provide patients knowledge and information to help promote their oral
health and well being.

As a dental hygiene student at Wayne Community College, I have obtained knowledge on

clinical skills, preparing and sterilizing equipment, dental charting software, taking and
developing x-rays , teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies, and taking action
according to protocol. I know that I can use my skills to flourish as a dental hygienist at Sunrise
Dental.
