All Scripture passages are from the New International Version (NIV)
To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” – John 8: 31-32
The Answer
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has
sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed
free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” – Luke 4: 18-19
By the Spirit
‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty. – Zechariah 4:6
Go through
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will
not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you
ablaze. – Isaiah 43:2
No condemnation
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus - Romans 8:1
Be positive
Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.”
And his servant was healed at that moment. - Matthew 8:13
A new day
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! - 2 Cor.
5:17
A ready mind
Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the
message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.
- Acts 17:11
Mind-binding spirits
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard
your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:6-7
Decide to believe
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the
Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. - Romans 8:26
Think about what you’re thinking about
I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. - Psalm 119:15
