1. a) Construct a half adder using NAND gates and verify the truth table.
b) Construct a Decade counter using IC 7490 and verify the counting
sequence.
2. (a) Construct a full wave rectifier using two semiconductor diodes and
measure the ripple factor for different load resistors.
(b) Also construct a full wave bridge rectifier and measure the ripple factor
and rectification efficiency of the rectifier.
3. Draw the static characteristics of a common base transistor configuration
and determine the input resistance, output resistance and current
amplification factor from their characteristics.
4. Construct a Colpitt’s oscillator and measure its frequency for 3 different
combinations of capacitor values in the LC circuit. Use CRO for frequency
measurements.
5. a) Construct an inverting amplifier and determine the voltage gain.
b) Construct a voltage follower (buffer amplifier) and determine the voltage
gain.
6. Construct a series LCR circuit (resonant). Find out 1) Resonance frequency
2) Band width and 3) Quality factor of it, and compare with the
corresponding theoretical values.
7. Write and execute a python program for finding a) the square root of 2 in
bisection method. b) The square root of any integer in Newton-Raphson
method. c) The root of the equation x-cosx=0 in Newton-Raphson method.
8. Write and execute a python program to fit a straight line by the method of
least squares and list the co-ordinates of the points.
