CONTROL AND INDICATING
Location and understanding of the Controls and Indications of the Fuel System using the
MFTD 2D
• Question: On which ECAM page can the pack airflow and the pack valves position be
checked?
On the ECAM BLEED page.
• Question: On which ECAM page can the trim air valve position and zone temperatures be
checked?
On the ECAM COND page.
• Question: On which ECAM page can the overboard extract valve position be checked?
On the ECAM PRESS page.
• Question: During this test, what is the position of the PACK 1 & 2 P/B switches?
P/B switches ON (OFF legends are off).
• Question: When do you have to put the COCKPIT and CABIN temperature selectors to
HOT?
When the actual cabin temperature is below 25° C.
• Question: During this test what is the position of the EXTRACT P/B?
AUTO configuration, FAULT and OVRD legends off.
• Question: During this test which extract valve positions are checked?
Fully open, fully closed, intermediate.

The aircraft has arrived with a defect recorded in the log book.,
The engineer will have to determine the serviceability of the aircraft in accordance with the MEL and
TSM, and decide if a dispatch may be made in the current condition, or if the affected system
requires repair.
• Question: What are the conditions to dispatch the aircraft with this fault?
Except for ER operations automatic cabin pressure control system 1 may be
inoperative provided cabin pressure indications are operative on ECAM in manual
mode.
