The pump is useful for lifting water where electricity is not available. Pine needles or any dry
bio waste can be utilized to lift water.

It has two steel tanks of 1 cubic meter each (1000 lit) and placed at a same height. One is kept for
air and the second one is filled with water. They are connected with each other via PVC pipe.
The tank containing water is kept air tight. One delivery and one suction line with foot valve are
connected with the water tank. The water tank is filled with water before lifting of water is
started. When the air tank is heated with biomass or any other fuel, the air in the tank expands
and exerts pressure on water tank and water gets pumped into the water tank through the
delivery pipe and the water in tank is pumped outside. The process is repeated again and again
to desired quantity of water for the purpose of irrigation. 100 g of biomass fuel can pump 200 lit
of water up to 30 ft height in just 90 sec.
