Faith Friends,

Continuing last month's encouragement to read your Bible on a daily basis, I'd like to add a
couple more positive reasons for doing so. One is, the more familiar you are with the Old
Testament, the clearer the New Testament will become. Why is that? Because the New
Testament is the fulfillment of the Old Testament. A second reason is, Jesus encourages us to
know the Scriptures. Many times when answering questions, He says; "Have you not
read ? In other words, if we have read, many questions will be answered. Thirdly,
reading will help us understand what Jesus would have us to know. Again, when answering
questions, He often begins, Verily Verily I say to you or Truly Truly I say to
you What He is saying is absolutely true. So if you haven't started your reading
program, it's never too late, and you will be blest.

PAT'S CORNER
If there is a hymn you would like us to sing or a hymn you would like played please let me know.
I welcome all suggestions. Would you be willing to sing during a part of our service? Sing a
solo, sing with somebody; I'm always looking for volunteers. Psalm 104:33 33 I will sing to
the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have being.

A heartfelt thank you to Pastor and Pat for the Memorial service and music
for Olivia Willoughby on Sunday, April1S; to Cathy Staples and all those who helped provide
lunch prior to the service.

There are so many talented cooks in our congregation that it seems like a good
idea have a recipe of the Month section in the newsletter. If interested, please send your
recipes to me by email or give me a written copy on Sunday mornings.
