Konica Minolta introduced bizhub OP, its proprietary Open Platform, to bring new levels of performance and reliability to
multifunctional devices in the office.
■ bizhub OP was developed to eliminate the need for sepa-
rate function boards and create a seamless multifunctional
architecture. This core technology combines 3 essential
components – bizhub system architecture, Konica Minolta
Emperon™ controller with PageScope software, and
bizhub Open API – into one unified system board and
software.
■ Largely device-independent, bizhub OP unifies the structure
and operation of all new-generation bizhub products.
Printer drivers, control panels and user interfaces for scan,
fax and copy features are virtually identical, having a print
capacity of 25 to 75 b/w pages or 25 to 50 colour pages
per minute. Once users know how to operate one device,
they are familiar with almost all bizhub systems. Likewise,

systems is retained. With bi-directional communi-
cation between MFP and server, and other flexible
tools Open API allows IT administrators to custom-
ise the control panel of the bizhub MFP to interact
with user-specific business applications.
