She is a survivor of a congenital heart
defect - Tetralogy of Fallot - and
although she missed the at birth heart
test due to her critical condition. It's likely
her deafness may have been caused by
ototoxic antibiotics during her recovery
from surgery at 8 weeks of age. She also
meets the challenges of ASD,
developmental delays, a vision
impairment, and scoliosis - and has
continued to grow and learn and inspire

CEREMONY
AADQ had the honor of viewing The
Learning Academy's graduation at Teri, Inc.
in Southern California on May 23, 2018.
Graduates are marking their transition to
adulthood with achieving milestones in
academic, vocational, and social skills.
Peers performed songs as supporters
applauded graduates during the joyous
occasion.

Ms. Wiener, retiree and musical therapist at


Teri, Inc. for the past 20 years, wrote
individualized songs for each graduate. Her
lyrics colorfully described their exceptional
abilities and accomplishments.

Teri, Inc. faculty and staff did a phenomenal


job of preparing students and beautifully
accenting the stage with vibrant, cheerful,
celebratory signs and decorations, as well
as creating a lovely reception area.
