3. PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT

The purpose of the project is to develop a new business idea in to a strategy and then develop a
plan to implement the business idea in real. The main objective of this project is to develop a
business plan to set up a coffee shop with a snack bar as there is an increasing demand for
snacks and coffees in Sri Lanka right now. This proposal will explain the strategies and plans
involved along with the factors like the marketing and human capital management. Also a
financial plan is proposed for the 3 years ahead.
4. REASEARCH DESIGN

The research design will be carried out through the methods involving qualitative and
quantitative analysis with existing data internal and external. The data will be analyzed to
provide the right direction and solutions for the organizations stated issues and opportunities.

Yes, the data sources to be referred will be through the mode of secondary data which are from
the sources based on past data collections as well as the websites, books, data bases and the
journals where the data is already present. Data from previous research conducted for similar
Business development plans and dissertations will also be used.
7. STATEMENT OF PERSONAL COMPETENCE TO ACHIEVE THIS PROJECT

The project will be achieved with the constant interaction with the industry personnel and the
also through some prior knowledge in this industry sector. A lot of sources are also will be
verified to provide the data and the feasible plans towards the plan.
