This letter serves to formally express my interest in holding an administrative

position with your school district. Please allow me to inform you of my
qualifications. I am a 4.0 graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University with a
master’s degree in Educational Administration and Supervision. I am also currently
a business and computer science teacher with nine years of teaching experience. I
also have six years of experience in supervision which includes roles such as
Administrative Aide, Assistant Athletic Director, and Administrative Intern.

In my time as an educator, I have often been the individual with the foresight
and initiative to generate a change for the betterment of all students. I went about
this by working within my realm of authority to institute what changes were
needed. One example of this included creating a Freshman Academy at Woodlawn
High School in inner-city Baton Rouge. Through this academy, students were able
to learn and acquire new skills needed for overall success. Another example is the
creation of a new curriculum for the middle school business and computer science
courses. Through the additions of these new courses, one of which a seventh-grade
coding course that was developed in collaboration with CodeVa, has helped to
produce a full-time teaching position from a part-time teaching position.
