HOW TO USE THIS BID/CONTRACT RISK REGISTER
This is the risk register for use in the bid/proposal phase of the client engagement. Objectives are: (1) to maintain a re
issues that have been identified and risk related questions that might lead to issues being raised, and (2) to track the
mitigation actions and outcomes.

Items and questions that have been raised or escalated to become issues are then:
- Identified by area and degree of impact.
- Allocated a suggested strategy for risk mitigation.
- Given a specific action or solution to mitigate the risks, after considering the suggested strategy or other informatio
- Allocated a priority to determine which actions to concentrate on more and in what sequence.
- Given a specific outcome for the action, for clarity and to know when it has been achieved.
- Assigned to (a) particular person(s).
- Allocated a specific completion date.
Progress of the issues is then recorded and monitored by:
- Entering appropriate progress details into the progress column.
- Updating the current status column.
- Updating the period overdue column so we know which actions and outcomes are behind and to what extent.
In the column headings of the risk register, you will see comments (red triangle in top righthand corner) explaining th
of the particular column.
One key objective in using the risk register is to try to minimize the number of red (high risk) classifications by ensur
employed appropriate mitigation strategies and actions
