Declaration of Commitment to Jesus Christ and His Church and Community at Gloriavale Lask to be accepted to live at Gloriavale as a member of this Church and Community, having all things common with my brothers and sisters in Christ and calling nothing my own. I understand that to live at Gloriavale, an adult must support and abide by all of this Declaration of Commitment, and I will willingly do so myself. Thave read all of What We Believe (es amended from time to time) and hold it to be a true summary of New Testament teachings and practices as applied to our life together at this time and place. 1 take it all as my own faith and commit myself to practise and to obey all that is taught therein, and I will neither hold nor teach any contrary belief. Thave been immersed into Jesus Christ since I believed, in order to bury my old sinful nature and to rise up in newness of life in Christ, freed from sin, believe that the Church at Gloriavale is part of the Church that Jesus is building, and I will live here for the rest of my life unless the shepherds of this Church ask me to serve Christ elsewhere. 1 believe that the overseeing shepherd and the shepherds of our Christian Church Communities are called and ordained of God and that He holds them in His hand. I willingly submit myself to them in love and faith in every area of my Christian faith and practical life, as they live and teach according to the Word of God, trusting in my heart that God will work out His will overall as I do so. I will neither hold nor teach any doctrine or belief contrary to what they teach. I submit myself likewise in love and faith to all others in authority in this Church and to my brothers and sisters in Christ, esteeming others better than myself. Any money or assets which I ever give or help to acquire for Christian Partners, The Christian Church Community Trust or any other entity within the Christian Community, are to be administered without fetter by our overseeing shepherd and the other shepherds, and held in common for the benefit of all its members or given to others in need. I will never claim anything back for myself, my relatives, or anyone else. 1 believe that the blessings of living in this Community are full recompense for any contribution that T ever make towards it. Receiving as T do the benefit of all contributions already made by others to this ‘Community, | realize that it could not continue to operate for the benefit of its members if they claimed reimbursement for their contributions to it. All these commitments which I make to this Church and Community today apply equally to any otter Church Community united with it.
