INTRODUCTION
European Standards
EN1906 - EUROPEAN & NATIONAL STANDARDISATION FOR HARDWARE
For the purposes of European standardisation the EN 1906, which specifies requirements and test methods for door
handles and door knobs, has been set up. It became valid throughout Europe in October 2001 and has been included
step by step into national regulations.
The EN 1906 defines performance parameters solely (hardware dimensions have not been taken into account).
It introduces a classification code system, which allows products to be compared.
This European Standard specifies test methods and requirements for spindle and fastening elements, operating
torques, permissible free play and safety, free angular movement and misalignment durability, static strength and
corrosion resistance for sprung and unsprung lever handles and knobs for doors on backplates or roses.
Requirements and test methods are structured in a way that everyday use is simulated (see left side).

The requirements and test forces have been graded according to the mentioned grades below. Door hardware tested to EN 1906 are to be
marked with an eight digit coding system.

At the end of August greenteQ profile double cylinders SX will be in stock, standard section,
6 bolted, with safety operation mode (lockable both-ways) certified according to EN 1303,
drilling/chisel/twisting attack resistance, pick protection by mushroom head bolts, 3 keys
each, brass matt nickel-plated, variedly lockable.
The greenteQ cylinder locks have a durability of product classification 6 up to 100,000 test
cycles, the corrosion resistance and temperature of class C with a high corrosion resistance.
The key security of greenteQ cylinder locks grade 6 means 100,000 different locking and 6
bolts.
A CE marking is also mandatory for greenteQ cylinder locks and had been tested according
to EN 1303.

DORMA UNIVERSAL
With its broad spectrum of basic types and variants, the DORMA Universal range of patch fittings enables the realisation in toughened glass of
almost any conceivable design. Toughened glass assemblies can be provided with fixed parts in widely differing arrangements.
With corner fittings or fin fittings at different angles, and with double or singleaction doors in single-leaf or double-leaf designs.
Suitable for common glass thicknesses

DORMA Universal fittings are supplied as standard with gasket to suit 10mm glass. For 8mm and 12mm glass, correspondingly thicker and thinner
gasket is available. Some patches are even designed to fit directely with different glass thicknesses.
Matching range of locks

The DORMA Universal range includes every type of accessory, and of course, a variety of locks and strike boxes in a matching design concept,
giving the designer plenty of choice from the options available.

Dorma S2000 shower hinges are manufactured to exacting standards using quality materials. The solid brass hinges are available in polished and
satin chrome finishes. Powder-coated finishes are available on request.
Suitable for common glass thicknesses

All S2000 hinges are designed for doors of maximum width and weight of 800mm and 45kg respectively, 25 degree self-closed
Glass thickness : 8 or 10mm.
An attractive, value for money

S2000 hinges are non-handed, spring loaded, and are available for single and double-action doors.
The mechanism used in S2000 hinges has been proven to give trouble-free service. It also provides the feature of a self-closing door and keeps
the door closed tightly against the strike jamb.
