The Revelation (148) yousuf mahbubul Islam, PhD

Bill Belew, a Christian Worldview Examiner, writes the following in his blog titled, “Giving credit
where due on the molecular level” {1}:

“My son is a molecular exercise physiologist at a University of California school. He reads

science literature like I read my Bible. Both of us could spend more time reading each. He
knows what happens in the body on the molecular level when it is exercising. Remarkable! (On
the other hand,) what I know about such things could fit inside cell walls. But I have learned that
a fully functioning cell has:

1. its own energy system

2. a large body of information stored in DNA
3. an information decoding system
4. a nutrient-digesting system
5. a waste-removal system
6. a cell-wall system
7. a replication system
8. a maintenance system

And all of these just happened to fall in place at the same time (automatically by themselves)? I
have a lot of respect for scientists. They know what they know. I'd have more respect for some
scientists if they would admit what they do not know and give credit where it is due. The
Creator made the cells fully functional from the get go. It's the only scientific and plausible
explanation there is!”{1}

So where should credit be given for the creation of each individual cell? What does giving credit
where due mean? Who should get the credit for creating each individual cell in our bodies?
What else has the Creator organized for us? As another example, does one have the feeling of
relief after crying and shedding tears? A scientist responds {2} to a question on “Naked Science
Forum” saying:
“Psychologists refer to freely weeping as an important stage in the healing process. But
although this notion may appear to be psychological in origin, involving the confrontation
of one's own grief, it also just applies physiologically: crying reduces levels of stress
hormones (in the body).” {2}

With innumerable blessings created in such minute detail, what should a human beings’ attitude
be towards the Creator? At other levels, the Creator Reveals in the most recent Revelation:
“It is He Who brought you forth from the wombs of your mothers when you knew
nothing; and He Gave you hearing and sight and intelligence and affections:..” [16.78a]

“It is He Who has created you from dust then from a sperm-drop then from a leech-like
clot; then does He get you out as a child: then lets you reach your age of full strength;
then lets you become old though of you there are some who die before; and lets you
reach a Term appointed: in order that you may learn wisdom.”

Why has the Creator done all of this?

“…that you may give thanks (to the Creator).” [16.78b]

“He is the Living: there is no god but He: call upon Him giving Him sincere devotion…”
[40.65]

Which is better – scientists thanking the Creator and giving Him sincere devotion or looking for
alternative explanations – explanations that deny the contribution of the Creator? By the same
token, when human beings assign supernatural qualities to anyone other than the Creator,
where is credit placed? For example, when Jesus is called ‘god’ where is credit placed? Which
of the blessings discussed can be assigned to Jesus? Jesus himself was a blessing from the
Creator, as he came to guide mankind towards their duty to the Creator. What did Jesus want to
clarify when he said:?
“…But go find my brothers and tell them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father,
to my God and your God.'” {John 20.17, NLT} {3}

The most recent Revelation repeats the gist of the message of Jesus:
“…I have come to you with a Sign from your Lord. So fear Allah and obey me. It is Allah
Who is my Lord and your Lord; then worship Him (alone). This is a way that is straight.”
[3.50 – 3.51]

The birth of Jesus and the miracles given to him were simply Signs to convince the Children of
Israel that indeed, he had come with authority from the Creator of all. In this part of Sura Al-
Imran, Allah clarifies the role of Jesus:

3.58 “This is what We rehearse to you of the Signs and the Message of Wisdom.”
For those who have been misled by alternative explanations of the fatherless birth of Jesus,
Allah clarifies His nature and role as the Creator,

3.59 “The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam: He Created him
from dust then said to him: "Be" and he was.”
Adam was both fatherless and motherless. If one follows the logic of the alternative explanation
of Jesus being the Creator’s (physical) son, in the case of Adam, what should the Creator be
called – father or mother or both? No, Allah addresses people of the preceding Revelation:
“O people of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: nor say of Allah aught but
the Truth. Christ Jesus, the son of Mary was (no more than) an Apostle of Allah and His
Word which He bestowed on Mary and a Spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah
and His Apostles. Say not "Trinity": desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is One Allah:
glory be to Him: (far Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him Belong all things in the
heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of (all) affairs.” [4.171]

All affairs, including forgiveness depend solely on the Creator; the Creator does not need to
sacrifice anything in order to forgive. He is not dependent on anything.

3.60 “The truth (comes) from Allah alone; so be not of those who doubt.”

3.61 “If anyone disputes in this matter with you now, after (full) knowledge has
come to you, say: "Come! Let us gather together our sons and your sons our
women and your women ourselves and yourselves: then let us earnestly pray and
invoke the curse of Allah on those who lie!"”

3.62 “This is the true account: there is no god except Allah; and Allah He is
indeed the Exalted in Power, the Wise.”

3.63 “But if they turn back Allah has full knowledge of those who do mischief.”
