Congratulations High School Graduates

It is with great pride and joy that we celebrate the many accomplishments of our high
school seniors. We welcome all graduates and their families to today’s 8:30am Mass.
We honor our seniors and acknowledge a job well done! As these young adults move
forward to college or employment we pray for God to guide and protect them along
life’s road. May they always know of the prayers and support that our parish community
offers. Congratulations to all our graduates!

Dear Parishioners:
I am excited to meet, pray and be present with you as the administrator with the team of Father
Patrick Barkey, Father Jerry Mikonis and Deacon Alexander Poroda. We have already spent time
praying together and to discuss how, as parishes, we will become a Strong Community of Faith!
October 15 is the date we will begin our assignment, but you will see us at the various upcom-
ing activities! In fact, we want to pray with you at each of the Church Sites.
Our Lady of Valley, Thursday, June 14th at 7:00 p.m.
Saint Damien of Molokai, Wednesday, June 27th following the Holy Hour
This is our chance to meet and greet you. Please remain after Holy Hour for a few moments.
There is no formal program, so come and go as you please.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Reverend Kevin Dominik

Whoever Does the Will of God is My Brother and Sister and Mother –
It should be no surprise that we refer to the relationships within our church
or parish in terms of family. The roots of faith run deep and the bonds that
we form with those we pray and serve with grow stronger with each en-
counter. Saint Paul reminds us in his letter to the Romans, “The Spirit itself
bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children,
then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ” (Romans 8:16-17). By virtue of our bap-
tism we share in the life of God and are welcomed into his family, the Church. Yet, this rela-
tionship of love is not passive or stagnant. We are called to live to the fullest the life and pur-
pose the Spirit inspires within us. As we seek to form new relationships both within and
among our parishes as part of the On Mission for The Church Alive! initiative, may our efforts
bring about the strengthening of our faith family. As we grow in love for Jesus and each other
may we vibrantly fulfill our mission as sons and daughters of God and seek to do his will. Vis-
it onmissionchurchalive.org to learn more and to stay informed.
