In 1916, American society of civil engineers, American society of mechanical engineers,


American society of electrical engineers, American society of metallurgical and mining
engineers, and American society for testing materials engineers joins to form a department that
can be used to maintain the standards for the products. This department approaches the US
department of war and navy to join them.
In 1918, American engineering standard committee was formed which today known as ANSI,
and its first secretary was Paul G.Agnew and its first budget was 7,500 US dollars. The first
standard of ANSI was about the pipe threads. ANSI successful in approving its first standard in
1921
BSI group that lies under the royal character produces the British standards and it is also known
as “National standard body for UK”. The standards made by the international organizations for
the products are accepted by the BSI so that the performance of the products improved for the
citizens and also the ease for the people to buy the product with same standards across the
world. BSI made standards for the products in accordance with the rules and regulations of the
international standard organizations. Over 27000 standards have been made by BSI.BSI are
titled as British standard XXXX [-P]: YYYY, where YYYY represents the year of standard
formation, XXXX is the number of the standard, P is the number of the part of standard.

To make the manufactures of British more effective and efficient, James Margerh in 1901 led the
Engineering standard committee for the standardization of rules of number and type of steel.
To make the organizations more efficient and productive the BSI helped the firms in making the
standards for the products so that to make the firms and companies more efficient in terms of
anti-bribery and asset management. A lot of the standards are by the BSI are applied by the
international organizations to make the products more reliable and efficient for the buyers
across the world and increase the trust of clients on the standardization organizations.
DIN stands for “Deutsches Institute für Normung”, translated as “German institute for
standardization”, which has the responsibility to standardize the products across the Germany in
collaboration with the international standardization organizations. DIN has the responsibility to make
the services, products better for the buyers and increase the trust of clients and contractors on the
standardization companies for the satisfactory work in all the fields like engineering, manufacturing, civil
works, food items etc. DIN send its members to the meetings of ISO to make the standards in full
collaboration with the ISO members in the meetings so that members of both organizations arrive at the
common point.

Normenausschuß der deutschen Industrie (NADI, "Standardization Committee of German


Industry"),founded in 1917.but was renamed as Deutscher Normenausschuß (DNA, "German
Standardization Committee") in 1926 to make sure that the organization deals with the
multipurpose things of standardization. In 1975, it was recognized as the official Germany
channel for the standardization in the interests of Germany. It is headquartered in berlin,
Germany.
Meetings between the members of different organization of standardization at the
international level, DIN kept the interest of Germany ahead in any case since its birth.
Standards used by industries in japan are made by the organization known as “Japanese
industrial standards”. Japanese standard committee regularized the changings in the standards
are control the JIS.JIS plays a very important part in the progress of the industries by increasing
the interests of people in the industries products because of the improvements in the products
and the improvements in the products are made by the changings in the standardizations of the
products that meet the international standards. Thus huge responsibility lies on the JIS and till
now JIS played its role quite good and one example is its automobile industry as demand for the
Japanese cars are increased day by day across the world. It is all due to the good advancement
in the standardizations processes.
