ABOUT US: NORTHSIDE VIBES by FLAVOR NEWS USA is con-
veniently located in the 21 Professional Center, 2025 E. Main Street
(Shockoe Bottom), Suite 214, Richmond, VA 23223; (804) 297-6316.
NORTHSIDE VIBES is an independently owned, monthly (compli-
mentary) GOOD NEWSpaper which initially launched in September
2014 by our CEO, Deone “Flavor” McWilliams, who at the time had
only $22.00 after leaving Corporate America: LEAP OF FAITH! Our
GOOD NEWSpaper launches the 1st Friday of each month (occasional
delays due to holidays and inclement weather). To-date, we have over
62,000 readers locally and worldwide, including our electronic version:
visit www.scribd.com (search Northside Vibes) and our WEBSITE:

Our Mission: From the outset, Deone envisioned Northside Vibes be-
coming a unique (special) publication that would be an integral part of
many communities—a publication for everyone to enjoy! Deone pas-
sionately provides informative newspapers that people identify with,
take pride in, and serve to bridge the different segments of “all” commu-
nities. As we are unable to publish everyone’s story, our intentions are
always good. For information regarding our affordable ad rates, please

NSV ARC @Staples Mill & More Great Services 11

Greater Richmond ARC recently opened a new location in Henrico

County at 8030 Staples Mill Road to serve adults with disabilities. It is
conveniently located near shopping centers, parks, libraries and other
points of interest. The ARC @Staples Mill program has gotten off to a
great start with activities including a recent field trip to Lewis Ginter Bo-
tanical Garden for its M & T Bank Butterflies Live! exhibit. For Lilli, 32,
having the opportunity to visit local landmarks is one benefit of being part
of ARC. Lilli was formerly a client of A Grace Place for ten years, which
closed its doors in March at the same location. “The closing was not only
a huge disappointment, but a major concern,” said her dad Mike. “Change
is difficult for her. Fortunately for us (and certainly many others), Greater
Richmond ARC stepped up. The transition has been seamless and she is
once again benefiting from her daytime activities.” ARC @Staples Mill
activities include sewing and cooking classes, where participants recently
learned how to prepare a tasty trail mix. There’s also arts and crafts,
with an opportunity for budding artists to have their work displayed
at an upcoming organization-wide ARC Art Show on June 30 at its
3600 Saunders Avenue headquarters. A trip to the Science Museum of
Virginia is also on tap.
For Lilli and her family, ARC @Staples Mill provides care in a safe and
nurturing environment. “We are most grateful for the leadership of Rich-
mond ARC and the kind services of its staff,” her dad said.
ARC @Staples Mill is currently accepting new clients.
