1. Gameplay

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is a game that can only be played by one
player.

2. Default Controls

Menu Controls

Open and close in-game pause menu ESCAPE

Cancel, return to previous screen DELETE
Select menu option RETURN/SPACEBAR
Change menu option Cursor keys

All menus can be used with the mouse.

Fullscreen Switching

This title supports the ability to toggle between fullscreen

and windowed modes. Use the following keys combinations
to enable this feature:
Command + Return: Toggles the game between windowed and fullscreen
modes.
Command + Tab: Minimizes the game when in fullscreen mode.

Right Mouse Button Functionality

This game contains features that require a right mouse button. If you have an
Apple Mighty Mouse, you can enable the Right Mouse Button in System
Preferences->Keyboard and Mouse. Change the "Right Click" drop down to
Secondary Button.

As well, most PC USB mice are supported on the Macintosh. The Left and Right
mouse buttons are detected and work correctly on these mice when first plugged
in.

If you have an Apple legacy single button mouse, or a MacBook Pro with only a
Track Pad, you can emulate a right mouse button by holding down the Command
key while clicking the Mouse Button.

3. Minimum Hardware Configuration

In the event of any problems, please ensure that your PC meets the minimum
specification stated below.

Operating System OS X Leopard ( 10.5.5 )

Processor Intel Core Duo
Memory 256MB
Video card ATI X1600, NVIDIA 7300GT, or Intel X3100 with 128MB
VRAM
HDD Space 3.0GB

This game will not run on PowerPC (G3/G4/G5) based Mac systems (PowerMac,
iBook, PPC iMac and PPC Mac Mini).
This game will not run systems with the Intel GMA integrated graphics chips
running Mac OS X Tiger.

4. Installation

NOTE: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will only install and run on
machines installed with OS X Leopard.

* Insert the disc into your disc drive.

* Double-click on the 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince™ Installer'
application to install the game.
* Once the game has installed you can launch it by locating the game icon in the
Applications folder. For convenience, you may drag the application icon to the
Dock.
5. Uninstall

* Ensure you are logged in using an account which has Administrative privileges.
* Locate the folder where the game is installed
* Drag the game icon into the Trash to complete the uninstallation.
* To fully remove the application from your system, additional files can be found
in /Users/<YourUsername>/Library/Preferences/Harry Potter and the Half-Blood
Prince Preferences. Please note that this folder also contains your saved games.

6. Help

If you are unable to resolve your problem with the above notes, visit EA's
technical support webpage at support.ea.com.

7. Trouble Shooting

If you are experiencing slowdowns or poor performance, we recommend that

you try turning down Options settings such as:

* Reduce the resolution.

* Reduce the graphics quality

If you have many programs running in the background, this can also cause the
game to slow down as CPU power is being used by other programs. It is
recommended that all non-essential programs are exited before running Harry
Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

Computer hardware manufacturers are constantly updating their driver software

so that their hardware can play the latest software programs with the best
possible performance. If your system is not using the latest driver please consider
obtaining an updated driver. Doing this may also give you benefits such as
increased performance, the elimination of a technical problem and new
component features.
