100-Day Entry Plan

Weeks 1 and 2:

Goal: To build an understanding of the Superintendents immediate expectations

and long-term vision for the Assistant Superintendent for Business and

Operations.

Actions: Schedule a Week 1 meeting with the Superintendent to glean priority

levels of outstanding items in need of swift resolution, while accumulating insight

on the persisting issues.

Weeks 3 and 4:

Goal: To build an understanding of how the role of Assistant Superintendent for

Business and Operations is expected to collaborate with the board of education.

Actions: Strategically enter the role having a candid conversation with the

Superintendent to learn more about the board of education and the anticipated

interaction I will have with the members.

Weeks 5 and 6:

Goal: Meet with each of the other Assistant Superintendents to relish in the

wisdom of their experience in the positions and obtain a deeper understanding of

the dynamics within the Superintendents Executive Cabinet.


Actions: Individually schedule lunch meetings with the Assistant Superintendent

of Human Resources and Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum to build

personalized professional relationships with fellow counterparts.

Weeks 7 and 8:

Goal: To gain an understanding of the needs in the various operational areas of

the district.

Actions: Meet with each of the departmental supervisors while seeking to

understand how I can best support their area of expertise within the district. The

meetings would include spending time with the Director of Technology, Director

of Food Service, Purchasing Supervisor, Payroll Supervisor, Maintenance

Supervisor, Director of Transportation, and Custodial Supervisor to guide my

performance.

Weeks 9 and 10:

Goal: Reach out to building level administrators, seek to gain insight as to how

best to communicate and provide central office administrative support.

Actions: Survey the building administration to detect if the current structure of

building level operational meetings best suits their needs. I will gather input,

reflect on the results, and plan to implement adjustments accordingly.


Weeks 11 and 12:

Goal: Build a presence within the broader spectrum of community involvement

within the district.

Actions: Attend PTO breakfast meetings to familiarize myself with the lead

members of their organizations. Reach out as a resource and a linking bridge

between parents that have committed themselves to supporting district excellence

and central office administration.
