It is designed for those disciples who know there is more,
but have not been able to identify the missing ingredient.
Additionally, it is designed for the new disciples who want to
heed the call to go out into the vineyard.
There is no timeframe for completion of this process of
discipleship. It is a personal journey with guidance and
support from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and other
disciples.
Our only prerequisite to becoming a true disciple of Christ is
to believe in Him as our Lord and Savior, and to have a
willing heart to be a servant, a follower, a bond servant of
Jesus Christ with a commitment to continue to the end, no
matter what.
We pray, Holy Spirit, that you will fill us with the revelation
of Your holy word, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

4. WHAT IS DISCIPLESHIP?

Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee came to him with her
sons, and kneeling before him, she asked a favor of him. And
he said to her, "What do you want?" She said to him,
"Declare that these two sons of mine will sit, one at your
right hand and one at your left, in your kingdom." But Jesus
answered, "You do not know what you are asking. Are you
able to drink the cup that I am about to drink?" They said
to him, "We are able." He said to them, "You will indeed
drink my cup, but to sit at my right hand and at my left, this
is not mine to grant, but it is for those for whom it has been
prepared by my Father."

DISCIPLE - Definition
From Hebrew… linmud- teach …instructed, accustomed,
disciple, learned, taught, used.
From Greek….mathetes - a learner, ie a pupil, a disciple
From Webster’s definition… a pupil or follower who accepts
and helps to spread the teachings of another. A convinced
adherent.
