DOrSU Logo Design Contest

OBJECTIVES:

1. To design a logo for the Davao Oriental State University(DOrSU).


2. To be used as the official logo for various purposes such as online, print, merchandise and other visual collateral.

MECHANICS:

1. The contest is open to all residents of Mati City. However, committee members are excluded from joining the contest.
Proof of evidence must be submitted by the artist upon the submission of entry.
2. All entries must be submitted in digitized format. The following attachments are required:
a. A printed copy of his/her logo entry must fit in an 8 ½ “x11” short bond paper.
b. A brief description of the logo and its components should not exceed 500 words, Arial, 12 pts, 1.5 spacing and
justified.
3. The artist will be held accountable to any issues that may arise with regard to originality and authenticity of the
design.
4. Each contestant must submit only ONE entry.
5. Submission of entries will be from June11 – July 27, 2018 at DOSCST Sports Office. A committee member will be
assigned each day for registration. Upon registration, the participant will receive his/her entry number. Failure to
submit the soft copy and hard copy of any entry will result to disqualification.
6. Regardless of the number of entries, only 5 entries will qualify for the final judging based on the scores. In case there
are less than 5 entries, all will then be qualified for the final judging.
7. The top 5 finalists will be announced on July 30 and each will receive a “Certificate of Recognition”.
8. A board of judges will be invited to select the winner. The decision of the panel of judges will be final and
incontestable.
9. The winner will be announced and awarded with a cash prize (Php 10,000.00) and a plaque of recognition during the
flag ceremony. It will also be announced in the DOSCST website, the official Facebook group of the DOSCST, and

10. The winning entry shall become the property of the DOrSU
11. The DOrSU reserves the right to modify the winning logo.
12. The dominant colors must be blue and yellow.

Criteria for Judging:


The logo shall be judged based on the following criteria:
