POLICE CLEARANCE

"ALL TRANSACTIONS WITH THE


CONSULATE MUST INCLUDE A COPY OF
THE DATA PAGE OF THE LATEST PASSPORT
BEARING THE HOLDER'S MOBILE NUMBER
AND SIGNATURE."

(as of 01 July 2010) We receive requests for


facilitation with Saudi authorities for the
issuance of police clearances which are often
used for immigration to countries. The Saudi
police will issue any resident a police clearance
upon endorsement by the Consulate. If the
requesting party is no longer in the Kingdom,
the Consulate issues a Certificate of No
Derogatory Record.

A. IF APPLICANT IS IN
JEDDAH/WESTERN REGION:
For applicants in Jeddah or any province of the
Western Region, the Consulate General will
endorse the application for Police Clearance to
the Office of the Director of the Police
Department, Jeddah.

1. Copy of valid Philippine Passport


2. Copy of valid Saudi Iqama/Residence Permit
3. One (1) colored Photo with white background
(2" x 2" size)
4. Fee: SR100.00

STEPS TO BE TAKEN AFTER RECEIVING


THE ENDORSEMENT CERTIFICATE from the
Philippine Consulate General:

1. Bring the Endorsement Certificate to the


Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia for
stamping (authentication)
2. Bring the stamped Endorsement Certificate
to the local Police Station for the issuance of
Police Clearance (fingerprinting). (Note:
This will take a couple of days before the
issuance of Police Clearance)
3. Bring the Police Clearance to the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia for stamping
(authentication)
4. Have the Police Clearance be translated into
English at the translation office accredited by
Saudi Chamber of Commerce
5. Bring the translated Police Clearance
(original and copy) to the Philippine
Consulate General for authentication with a
copy of passport.
6. Payment for authentication: SR100.

B. IF APPLICANT IS OUTSIDE
JEDDAH/IN THE PHILIPPINES:
For applicants outside Jeddah, kindly
accomplish/submit the following documents as
required by Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs
under its Note No. 94/70/19/37270 dated 03
November 2010:

1. Request Letter addressed to the Consulate


stating the purpose of the Police Clearance
and your email address;
2. Local Police Clearance with fingerprint from
the current place of legal residence and duly
authenticated by the nearest Saudi
Embassy and Philippine Embassy/Consulate
General (if abroad) or DFA Manila (if in the
Philippines); (must be submitted
original) (MUST BE SUBMITTED ORIGINAL
w/ Arabic translation from the Accredited
Translation Office of the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs Jeddah and Authenticated by the
Chamber of Commerce, Jeddah, KSA)
3. Special Power of Attorney authenticated by
the nearest Philippine Embassy/Consulate (if
abroad) of DFA Manila (if in the Philippines)
for your authorized representative here in
Jeddah to process your Saudi Police
Clearance; (must be submitted original)
4. Photocopy of passport used in Saudi Arabia
clearly showing the applicant's photographs
and all Saudi visas;
5. Copy of Saudi residence permit (Iqama);
6. Two (2) recently taken colored photos with
white background (2 in. x 2 in. size); and
7. Other relevant document, if any, to support
the application for Police Clearance.

The Philippine Consulate will secure an


approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

through a Note Verbale. After the approval is
obtained, your authorized representative will
bring all the documents to the Police Station
for the issuance of the Police Clearance.

Furthermore, the Philippine Consulate may


issue a Certificate of No Derogatory Record
(NDR) to those who are unable to comply with
the requirements of the Ministry provided the
applicants can comply with the following
requirements:

1. Copy of previous passport/s showing date


of entry and exit from Jeddah;
2. Copy of Employment Certificate during the
period of stay in Jeddah; and
3. Copy of Final Exit Visa;

ADVISORY

In accordance with existing rules and


regulations of the citizenship and Immigration
Office in Canada as relayed by the Philippine
Embassy in Ottawa, all Filipino nationals
(including dependent family members above
eighteen (18) years old), intending to travel to
Canada for reason of work or study, are
required to submit police clearance
certificates from the country of last
employment or residence, where they worked
or resided for the last six (6) months in
succession.

In view of this, the Philippine Consulate


General in Jeddah would like to advise all
Filipinos in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who
are planning to work or study in Canada, to
secure Saudi police clearance certificate before
they leave the Kingdom to avoid any
inconvenience when they apply for residency in
Canada.
