Description It has been available to use the Concurrent Copy primary volume as the FCv2
source volume.

(1) Timeout Error when Refreshing FCv2 Info Panel
Item Description
Contents When refreshing FCv2 Info panel on Storage Navigator during an initial copy of FCv2
relationship, "A timeout error occurred (7005.8000)", and panel failed to display. SSB=22be
(Correct History log start pointer) was output.
Conditions This problem occurs with all conditions met.
1. Performing pair operations by using one or more program products below:
Shadow Image, Shadow Image for z/OS, Compatible Mirroring for IBM Flash Copy, Cross
System Copy, or Volume Migration operation,
2. Performing a pair operation by using Compatible Mirroring for IBM Flash Copy Version 2

Item Description
Contents SSB=9680 may occur right after PS/ON or when a relationship is established/deleted. If it does
not cause Job ABEND etc., it will not cause any problem.

1. Right after PS/ON
2. A relationship is established.
3. Relationship deleted

(3) Logical Inconsistency Error
Item Description
Contents Deleting FCv2 relationship by specifying TDEVN/DDSW (no), SSB=9681 occurred.
Conditions This problem may occur when you delete multiple relationships at a time. Since a retry is
successful, the problem does not cause any damage.

Item Description
Contents When withdrawing FCv2 relationships, SIM=4b2X-YY occurred.
However, the relationships successfully withdrawn after hosts retry.
Conditions Issuing the Withdraw command with DDSW (NO) specified. However, since the problem
caused by the lock contention of control information, the chance of occurrence is low.

(6) FCv2 Pair Suspend

Item Description
Contents After having established one relationship for multiple datasets, when performing the SCRATCH
or INITIALIZE operation on the secondary volume, FCv2 pairs suspended with SIM reported.
Note After performing the following operations on the FCv2 secondary volume, relationship
establishing may fail. Therefore, after these operations, please use the FCWITHDR command to
withdraw the relationship or wait until the copy processing ends and the relationship released.

However, the relationships removed after a host retry.

Receiving command Withdraw (when removing relationships),
WCHK1 and CHK3 occur due to a failure, FRR processing started.

(11) Timeout when at a time Pair split via RAID Manager

Item Description
Contents A command timeout occurred when performing a Pair split operation for 500 or more Shadow
Image pairs in same consistency group at a time via RAID Manager. 300-500 pairs’ status
changed, but others failed.
Conditions Problem occurs when performing Pair split operation at a time under anyone of the conditions.
1. The connection to the host might be interrupted due to defective cable,
2. Plugging in/off cable during pair status changing,
3. A reset is performed to inactivate the Sync channel job, etc.

frequently for multiple relationships by using FCv2. The Problem may occur depending on the
number of relationships and the timing of SCRATCH operations.
