All extrusions shall be of Al/Mg Si Alloy designation 6060 or 6063 with powder coated
surface finish coating thickness of 60-80 microns.
Drawings indicate approximate dimensions. Actual site measurements shall be checked and
confirmed by the contractor before any fabrication.
Contractor should submit detailed shop drawings and fabricated samples of typical units of
each type illustrating all construction details for prior approval of the architect.
Frames shall be fixed to the structural openings with appropriate fixing plugs and anchor
bolts.
Interface between door /window frames and structural openings shall be properly caulked and
sealed with flexible silicon sealant of a colour to be approved by the Architect or Engineer.
Tolerance for windows on overall dimensions shall not be greater than 1.5mm.
Corners and joints of frames and sashes shall be miter cut and stacked with cleats and
mechanically crimped. ; Where stacked joints are not possible. Frames shall be miter cut or
square cut as required and assembled with stainless steel screws in to appropriate cleats and
integral screw groves within the extrusion. All joints shall be sealed with approved joint
sealer to prevent leakages drainage points shall be provided as required.
All openable sashes shall be provided with minimum two layers of neoprene weather
stripping gaskets to form a continuous drought proof seal between sashes and frames.
Windows shall be provided with heavy duty stainless steel friction hinges and die cast
powder coated aluminum fasteners.
Doors shall be 45mm thick and minimum visible thickness of frames shall be 40mm
minimum.
All doors shall have stainless steel hinges, locks shall be mortice cylinder locks.
Glass windows 6mm minimum clear, float glasses unless otherwise specified.
Doors and curtain wall 6mm clear float glass unless otherwise specified.
