Ministry for the Sick and Homebound
We are grateful to those who give of their time and
care to bring Holy Communion to our parishioners
who cannot make it to church due to sickness or in-
firmity. If you know of anyone who would like to re-
ceive communion in their home or while hospitalized
at West Lincoln Hospital, please contact the parish
office.
SVDP Society - What do we do? - We
help our needy neighbours that live within
the boundaries of St. Helen. All calls are
screened and a home visit is arranged
with two members attending.
How are we supported? - The poor box in the ves-
tibule of the church is our main means of support. A
cheque made out to St. Helen St. Vincent de
Paul can be dropped in the poor box or the Sunday
collection. There are also St. Vincent de Paul enve-
lopes available for cash donations. Interested in
joining us, call Lorraine at 905-563-7043.
Canadian Tire Money
We continue to collect Canadian Tire
money to purchase raffle prizes for fund-
raising events. It can be brought to the
office or in the collection basket.

Prayer to St. Anthony
to Recover Lost Things
O blessed St. Anthony, the grace of God has made
you a powerful advocate in all our needs and the pa-
tron for the restoring of things lost or stolen. I turn to
you today with childlike love and deep confidence.
You have helped countless children of God to find
the things they have lost, material things, and, more
importantly, the things of the spirit: faith, hope, and
love. I come to you with confidence; help me in my
present need. I recommend what I have lost to your
care, in the hope that God will restore it to me, if it is
His holy Will. Amen
Preauthorized Debit (PAD) is offered for our Mort-
gage Debt Reduction. If you are interested in using
this convenient way to make your offerings to the
church, please complete the card found in the pews
and return it to the parish office either directly or
through the collection basket. These donations are
processed once a month, on or about the 15th of
each month.
Follow up Results - Annual Mother’s Day Mulch,
Garden and Bake Sale - We are thankful that net
of all expenses, we were able to put $4,550.86 to-
wards our Debt Reduction. Once again, a huge
thank you to the organizers, donors, volunteer
workers and all who supported with their attendance.

“You are out of your mind!” Has an-
ybody ever said that to you? Or you
to another person? No doubt most of
us have heard or said this a time or
two. If directed at us, we are in good
company according to today’s gospel.
The relatives of Jesus said that about
him when he came home. The reason for such a
judgement is not entirely clear. Is it because the
crowds that followed him disrupted their way of life?
Or was it because the scribes from Jerusalem were
saying that he was possessed?
We might ask ourselves what might prompt us to
respond in such a way. Is someone living the gospel
in a way that challenges us and we feel uncomforta-
ble? Are we being asked to change in a way that we

Separated and Divorced Healing Ministry
This month’s topics are ‘Forgiveness Heals, Dino
Sicoli presenter’, (June 11); and ‘Loving and Re-
specting Yourself’, (June 25). Meetings are 7 to 9

Our music ministry is always open to newcomers.

You’re welcome to come to a Wednesday night
practice at 7 p.m. and see what its all about. This di-
verse group is a great bunch and they have fun to-
gether. So DON’T just think about it, ACT on it!
St. Helen Cleaning Ministry needs your help.
Can you volunteer 2 hours a month to help clean
the church? To join our dedicated team of men
and women who are responsible for keeping our
church looking so beautiful please contact the
parish office. With the understanding that our
team members have busy lives, it helps to have
many on the team to keep the load lighter when
shared by all. With summer approaching and va-
cations, we need your help. Can you give 2
hours a month?

Grounds Maintenance - June 16th
We’re looking for volunteers to come out and assist
with some spring lawn maintenance on June 16th.
Weeding, sweeping, planting etc is planned. Please
contact Craig Luey, (contact info on the front of the
bulletin) if you can help out. Thank you for your con-
sideration to this project.

We have openings for the Sanctuary Lamp for
the Week of August 13 - 19 & September 3 - 9.
If you’d like to book the Lamp in memory of your
loved one, please contact the office.

Our advertising sponsors on the back of the bulletin
support us and make your bulletin possible; their ad-
vertising revenue reduces our printing costs. Please

In Honor Donations
Make a donation in honor of someone. In Honor Of
Donations can be used to recognize individuals for
special occasions and holidays. For that hard to buy
for someone, or grandma & grandpa who may not
need anything, you can honor them by making a do-
nation in their name to the Building Fund. The do-nor
receives a tax receipt for their donation and the indi-
vidual receives a card informing him or her of the do-
nation. Contact the parish office to make your In
Honor Donation.
