3-1 System Option Mode 346 for LUN Security Function

Description When the subsystem was connected with an HBA containing HP WWN*1, the LUN Security was
not operational unless the host mode was set to 03. System option mode 346 added to enable the
LUN Security function without host mode setting restriction.

System option mode 346 ON:

LUN Security is operational without host mode setting restriction.

System option mode 346 OFF:

LUN Security is operational only when host mode 03 is set to ON.

*1: The WWN contained in the HBA below:

- The HBA installed on the HP Integrity server for Windows/Linux use
(no problem when the HP-UX host mode is set for the HP-UX connection)
- The HBA installed on the HP Blade server

Contents Unable to delete pairs after creating Shadow Image, Cruise Control and Hi-Copy pairs with
duplicate MU numbers. Micro-program modified so that the duplicate pairs are not created.
Conditions The problem occurs with all conditions met.
- Create the following Shadow Image pairs simultaneously
P-VOL=VOL#a MU#=A, S-VOL=VOL#b and P-VOL=VOL#a MU#=A, S-VOL=VOL#c
- The problem does not occur in case of LUSE VOL

(SSB=747B F/M=04).
Conditions The problem occurs when all the conditions are met.

3. After #2, issue the CQUERY command from the GDPS environment

pair.
Micro-program modified as follows.
1. The WCHK1 is prevented
2. SSB=0x6cc0 or SSB=0x6cc1 is reported for information enhancement
Conditions The problem occurs when all the conditions are met.
1. True Copy – S/390 Async
2. A reset occurs during a Write command processing
3. An invalid processing occurs
