EPOFINE® - 250 / FINEHARD™ - 817

(EPOXY SYSTEM for FLOOR COATING)

PRODUCT

EPOFINE® - 250 is a Bisphenol-A based unmodified epoxy resin. FINEHARD – 817 is a

modified polyamidoamine hardener suitable for this resin.

APPLICATION

EPOFINE® – 250 / FINEHARDTM – 817 is a versatile epoxy resin system suitable flooring and
for improving adhesion of concrete to concrete, bathroom floorings, stilts, terraces etc.
Coatings based on this resin system are tough and have excellent resistance to water. Cured
coating has a very good of chemical and water resistance and excellent adhesion to concrete.

This is an excellent system for industrial and commercial premises such as show rooms, where
a dark shades are required. For water proofing of bathroom floors, dig out the tiles or top layer
of concrete and apply 2 – 3 layers of Epofine-250 / Finehard-817. Allow to cure for 3 - 6 hours
and complete the flooring as in a normal case. The coating is resilient and can also reduces the
chances of cracking of tiles. For further improved water seepage resistance, the tiles can be laid
by using this resin system as the adhesive.

This system can be used as gap filling compound in food and potable water tanks and
equipment.

Mix Ratio

EPOFINE® – 250 : 100 pbw

FINEHARDTM – 817 : 35 pbw
Pigment Paste - 131 : 2 – 5pbw

Initially, the resin and hardener are mixed for 5 minutes and then Pigment Paste – 131 or any
appropriate colour is added under hand mixing. After ensuring uniformity of mix, apply using a
brush. It can also used as a mastic coating on concrete surfaces, to prevent growth of algae or
other organisms. The surface obtained is smooth and glossy and can be washed with hot water
or low pressure steam.

It is interesting to note that if a the jointed concrete is broken by hammering or by breaker, the
jointed surface will still be intact.

Surface preparation : Surface should be dry during application of flooring.

STORAGE, HANDLING AND DISPOSAL

Storage : Store in a cool, dry place.

Shelf life : As given above, when stored in original sealed
containers at 2 - 40oC.
Handling : Use hand gloves and protective glasses.
Disposal : Disposal by incineration or as per local regulations..

SAFETY INFORMATION

Flash point : Look for the individual values as baove

Precautions : In case of skin contact, wash with soap and water.
In case of eye irritation, bathe the affected eye with
running water for at least 15 minutes, and get
medical attention.
