Based on solid rod technology, the Copper Bonded Rods are electrically and mechanically robust complying IS, UL, IEEE and IEC standards. These rods are molecularly bonded with 99.99% pure Electrolytic Grade Copper (Cu) over a low carbon tensile steel rod, with the thickness of 250 micron copper coating. A Research on the Service of Grounding Rod ‘The National Electrical Grounding Research Project (NEGRP) was a project conducted by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Research Foundation. The objective of the project ‘was to compare the long-term performance of different types of earthing rods. According to the project, several different types of earthing rods were buried in different types of soils. After 10 years inthe year 2003, one of the original ites (Pawnee) was excavated and the rods were removed. It was found that the copper bonded rod was virtually free of corrosion while the galvanized rod showed significant deterioration.
