• Also known as urban and regional planning, city planning, town
and country planning, and/or human settlements planning
• The multi-disciplinary art and science of analyzing, specifying,
classifying, harmonizing, managing and regulating the use and
development of land and water resources, in relation to their
environs, for the development of sustainable communities and
ecosystems.

• EP graduate degree (Master’s/PhD): No experience required
• EP post-graduate diploma plus one year experience
• BSEP plus two years experience
• Master/doctorate(Arch/Eng/Ecology/Eco/Geog/Geol/PA/BA/Soc/Soc Sci/Law/
ES/EM/NRP/Dev plus three years experience (until 2018)
• BS (Arch/Eng/Eco/PA/Law/SWCD/Soc plus five years experience (until 2018)
c) Incumbent planners (until 2018)
• Holder of CSC professional eligibility
• 80 hours of in-service training/distance learning
