How to contact Angels and Ascended Masters.

Hello,

I would like to learn how to contact Angels and Ascended Masters.

How do I go about doing this?

Is it possible to contact them so I see/hear/feel them, palpably? How much work does this require?

I have Gnosis of The Cosmic Christ, and Gnostic Healing, so, if the details of the specifics of how to
do this close contact are there, then, if you guide me to what sections I can go by the information
in these resources.

Greetings!

It is taught that behind each blade of grass is an angel. So we can imagine that there are angels all
around us, within and behind all that exists, we making contact with them constantly through our
thoughts and feelings, whether it be angels of light, darkness or an admixture of the two.

Through daily spiritual living and practicing, such as is taught on this forum and in the books by Tau
Malachi - as we join in the Great Work of luminous beings, we will increase our likelihood of
working with and connecting with loftier angels. And as our spiritual senses open, we will begin to
perceive the angels, or what has been there all the time.

Within our lineage, we teach that in addition to the angels or maggidim working in the inner
planes, we have tzaddikim, or Holy Ones - presently incarnate and not incarnate. The holy
maggidim and tzaddik are the good company of the Shekinah, or Presence of God. To connect with
them, we simply have to engage in the Great Work - what we call the six essentials (cleaving to
Risen Messiah, cleaving to Tzaddik, cleaving to anointed community, gifted worship, hitbodedut,
and good works) - our spiritual senses opening up so that we might perceive what is already there.
And with the development of the ascension of consciousness, we will be able to perceive what is
already there in the higher planes.

And actually, much of our practicing is intended to invoke and enhance our communion with the
good company of the Shekinah, as we join with God's Presence in the Great Work within these
realms.

A simple rule comes to mind: we perceive that which is like us, and so as we embody the Divine
Attributes in our journey, as we begin to resemble the good company of the Shekinah - the
maggidim and tzaddikim, they will enter into our awareness.
May the world be filled with the Glory of God, all resembling the great maggidm and tzaddikim!

Greetings and blessings in the Holy Light of the Messiah!

The Gospel of St. Phillip teaches us that to see anything spiritual, or perceive anything of the
spiritual realms, we must become like it, we must resemble it; on a spiritual level, similitude
corresponds with nearness. Thus, if we wish a deeper communion with tzaddikim and maggidim, or
“saints and angels,” then we will want to live in a way that resembles them, and bring our
thoughts, words and actions into harmony with them. This, of course, happens through spiritual
living and spiritual practice each day, and an active labor to progress in the Gospel, or for a
conscious evolution towards Christ Consciousness. Basically speaking, we need to co-labor with the
Spirit of God to create the conditions in which contact with great tzaddikim and maggidim
becomes possible, and this is true of any spiritual or mystical experience we may desire – there is
inner work to be done.

There are practices in the tradition that have the aim of opening consciousness to contact with
tzaddikim and maggidim, or deepening the “communion with saints and angels,” but these assume
a good foundation in daily prayer and meditation, and an ongoing labor to live in a Christ-like way.
There is naturally a process of self-purification, the letting go self-cherishing, attachment and
aversion, as well as self-consecration, the offering of oneself and one’s life to God, and the
invocation of the Spirit of God into one’s person and life.

While we do have practices for opening consciousness to contact with tzaddikim and maggidim,
very often this happens spontaneously as our daily prayers and meditations deepen. Thus, for
example, if an aspirant learns and takes up spiritual practices, such as primordial meditation,
giving and receiving meditation, middle pillar meditation, and one of the union with partzuf
meditations; and they shift between these from day to day, and time to time, depending upon
what’s happening in their life, and they join with it study and contemplation, and daily heartfelt
prayer, this itself will invoke movements of the Holy Sprit and Shekinah, and experiences of
communion with tzaddikim and maggidim, or “ascended masters and angels,” may transpire.

(There are teachings given on all of the practices I’ve mentioned on our website – please look there
for instruction.)

I can also share, much as St. James taught, that if we cultivate a prayer life, and with heartfelt
prayer we ask for what we seek and need, the Spirit of God will gift it to us. We need only cleave
to the Risen Christ as we pray and invoke in the fullness of faith, “never doubting.” There is great
power in prayer.

Also, if we ever are blessed by God to encounter a living tzaddik in this world, if we ask them, they
might bless us and pray for us, sharing a spiritual empowerment with us to help us overcome
barriers and enter into new gradations of experience and consciousness.

Remember, the more you think of the tzaddikim and maggidim – the more you pray, and
contemplate and meditate, the more they think of you and the more “attractive” you become to
them, generating light-power, or an uplifted energy and vibration in consciousness. When we do
this, quite naturally they visit us, whether or not we are aware of it.

Dear Sheryl and Tau Maiachi,


I fount this thread to be very helpful. I am wondering what you think about people who the veil
between the spiritual realm and the physical is very thin in general. I have had this experience
since I was a child, but I also experienced trauma for much of my childhood. I have heard that
people who have been through trauma are able to see spirits in general more easily. For me, this is
due to disassociation with traumatic events and the early ability to leave one's body.
So how do you commune with the Godly, light filled part of the spiritual world in a safe and healthy
way?

Greetings and blessings in the Holy Light of the Messiah! Amen.

There are all manner of spiritual gifts and psychic gifts, and seeing beyond the veil, and sight into
the astral earth and its realms are among them. At times these gifts can be with us in our
childhood, or they can arise later in life. They can be innate and destined from birth, or they can
arise through environmental influences and life experiences that provoke powerful emotions,
whether positive or negative. In general, spiritual and psychic gifts are neither positive nor
negative in themselves, but the question is how we take them up and use them. Quite naturally,
when spiritual or psychic gifts are used to make a profit, in self-will and selfish ambition, and for
self-glorification, they become tainted and their use will attract unclean and evil spirits, spiritual
forces of the klippot. When they are used for the sake of self-offering, for the love of others and
God, in service to the kingdom of heaven and for the glorification of God, then spirits of
righteousness, angels and the souls of spiritual adepts and masters are attracted, the spiritual
powers of the Sefirot.

There are some spiritual and psychic gifts that are more challenging to integrate and take up than
others, more difficult to find one’s balance with and how to use well in skillful means. As an
example, since I was a little boy I’ve experienced visitations by entities, and the spiritual gift of
being able to see evil. The latter gift is most challenging, so much so that the rabbis in the Talmud
take up an argument concerning whether it is a gift or a curse to be able to see and recognize evil
in this world, given how much darkness and evil is in this world, and in many people here. One can
easily be overwhelmed by the sight of evil, or fall into all manner of negative mentalities,
including enacting great evil and giving way to the Other Side. It can also inspire and guide
prayers, and generate passion for the deliverance of souls and their return to God, and may
empower a person as a prayer warrior pacifying, enriching, subjugating and destroying evil through
prayer and devotion; as such it empowers the spiritual gift of exorcism, the deliverance of souls
from unclean and evil spirits. The essential key for the balance of this spiritual gift, as well as all
others, is compassion and love – the Sacred Heart of Christ.

The ability to see beyond the veil, and to contact spirits of the dead, and to see into the astral
earth and its realms, much like the gift of seeing evil, is among those that are very challenging.
First because all of the spirits that come, and that one sees and contacts, are not necessarily souls
of the dead, and are not necessarily what they claim to be; the astral world is a very deceptive
realm, filled with all manner of deceiving spirits, and therefore there is a need for spiritual
discernment and a strong intuitive capacity. Second, for similar reasons to those of the gift of
seeing evil, one can easily be overwhelmed by the perception of the dead and various spirits, and
could easily give way to different kinds of negative mentalities, as well as negative links with
unclean or evil spirits. It can also inspire and guide prayers however, or spiritual assistance for the
dying and the dead, and generate passion for the harvest of souls, or the uplifting of souls in the
Great Resurrection and Ascension, and can empower all manner of spiritual works for the dying and
the dead, as well as for the living.

The generation of the Sacred Heart is the key, faith, hope and love, but joined with this abiding in
the Sanctuary of Grace is important, cleaving to the Holy One of Being. Thus, enacting the six
essentials and three roots guards and uplifts our spiritual and psychic gifts, and provides sanctuary
from the assaults of unclean and evil spirits. The six essentials are: Cleaving to the Holy One and
the Risen Messiah, and to tzaddik and community – the Living Body of the Messiah, and with this
prayer and meditation, gifted worship and good works, or acts of loving kindness, charity. The
three roots are: Remembering your transcendence, setting your mind on those things that are
above, and remembering the God is always with you. In this, influxes of the Holy Sefirot will pour
out upon us, “saints and angels” will visit us, coming and going perpetually, and all manner of
righteous and luminous spirits will be with us – we will be filled with the Holy Light and Spirit of
the Messiah, and enshrouded by the glory of the Shekinah of Messiah.

If we shine as the Spiritual Sun of God, what shade or shadow will draw near, or be able to become
attached to us, or what deceiving spirit will succeed in their deception when all is seen and known
in the Holy Light – Pure Radiant Awareness?

Joined with this, having a gift of seeing through the veil it is good to study and contemplate
teachings on dying and death in a living mystical tradition, along with practices of spiritual
assistance for the dying and the dead. This can help put many experiences of contact with the
dead into their proper context, and help with discernment of spirits, whether they might be
confused, deceived or bound in some way, and need guidance, or whether one is encountering a
deceiving spirit and so reveal the appropriate response.

Faith, hope and love, joined with knowledge, understanding and wisdom is good – our spiritual
education is good, and an progressive spiritual realization in Christ is good.

In terms of the spiritual and psychic gifts we receive, as well as everything else given to us in this
life, it is good to give praise and thanks to God, and to glorify God, and to offer these gifts in
service to the Lord our God, the True Light.

In our spiritual maturation, in all the various activities in our lives, spiritual and material, we will
no longer be the doer, but Christ and the Holy Spirit will be the doer; this is our aim with spiritual
and psychic gifts, to be led by the Holy Spirit in their use, and to let the Spirit of God take them
up.

Greetings Tau Malachi,


I am grateful for your response. It is so helpful to me in my life and spiritual path. I agree with you
also about using your ability for the Glory of God and to help spirits. I also agree on not charging
people. I have never charged a penny for helping anyone and think of my ability to see spirits as a
'loan' from God. It makes me no better or worse than any other person, but I can use it in the
service of good. It is God's gift that God is giving me the opportunity to use for good.
Your response offers much direction for my life. I am also wondering which of your books or parts
of this site offer practices to become closer to Christ and Sophia. Will the practices help me with
my discernment?
I was previously part of a community in Canada where the leader was Native American and it was
based on Native American ceremony and traditions. I am wondering what you think of animal
spirits as helpers in the spirit realm. I feel more at home on the Gnostic path, and am wondering
how to translate my understanding of the spiritual world from Native spirituality to Gnosticism. It
is just the progression of my path.

I apologize for having so many questions that seem unrelated! This knowledge and understanding is
very important to me though.

Greetings and blessings in the Holy Light of the Messiah!

If you look in the “Order of St. Uriel forum you will find a thread about the “angels of our Earthly
Mother.” It will explain our view of animal spirits, and such. You will find that our way of spiritual
practice has a very strong resonance with ‘shamanic’ forms of spirituality.

The key to spiritual discernment is in learning to look and see, listen and hear, and feel, without
self-grasping, attachment and aversion. The practice of the silent witness and primordial
meditation help with this, and are a good foundation for all other spiritual practices we teach.

Joined with this I’d suggest the practice of giving and receiving, and one of the practices of union
with partzuf. There are teachings on all of these practices on our website.

Two books you might enjoy at the outset are “St. Mary Magdalene” and “Living Gnosis.”

In terms of teachings on the forums, probing around to see what attracts your attention might be
good, and likewise looking into posts I’ve written on the Six Essentials and Three Roots, as well as
hitbodedut, or secluded prayer – these are in the “spiritual life and practice” forum, and that
forum is a good place to post questions about spiritual practice as they arise.

As you explore our teachings, remember that more often than Sophia, we use the term Shekinah
for the Divine and Sacred Feminine – they are synonymous terms in our teachings.

This ought to get you started. If general questions on teachings, or gnosis and gnosticism arise,
please feel free to post them in the “gnosis and gnosticism” forum.
