Report on English Language Camp

During the English Language Camp, the English Language society of SMK Wawasan had
organised a series of activities. The camping activity was held from 21st to 23rd February.
The camping activity was initiated by the head of English language department, Mr.
Sivajanam along with a few English teachers of the school. Many thought that the camp
aimed to instill answering techniques to the students. That was not why we did it. In
fact, it aimed to encourage the use of English language among students and to help
improve students’ speaking and writing skills.

The activities carried out were public speaking, story building, drama
performance, singing contest and radio presenter workshop. The prize for winners
were book vouchers and all participants received a certificate and a group photo.

Overall, it was a great success and everyone left with happy face. All photos taken
throughout the camping activity will be uploaded to the school’s website. For those of
you who might not have gotten your certificate and group photo or should you have any
enquiries, please call Miss Jane at 0162330909. Once again, thank you for your support
and we hope to see you again next year!
