Simplified Assembly
A specially designed support ring (A) can be posltioned and
secured to slandard 3/a" heavy-wall conduit. Ring is threaded
onto conduit and locked into position by a thread destructive
screw. Complete unit is simply llfted and eased into hanging
position. (B) External hook hangers are not required to atiain
o
the advantage of safe, fast installation-
Convenient Wiring
All necessary wires are accessible from ihe isolaied wiring
chamber (C) located at the top of the ballast housing making it
unnecessary to enier ihe ballast compartment for connections.
Once connections are made (D) the lock-on wiring access cover
is pui into place. [E) Lock screws are provided for fixture
orientation.
Built-in Safety Features
The shock resistant, cast aluminum ballast housing (F) serves
as both a suppori and enclosure for ihe ballast and capacitor.
Fixture support i6 not dependent on strength of screws or bolts.
Total fixture weight is disiributed through the aluminum strap
which embraces the entlre ballast compaftment. The ballast
cover plate is easily removed for access to ballast componefts.
Safety cords retain ballast cover pLate during rnaintenance. The
reflector is supported by two heavy duty NEMA style latches,
(G) proven for their dependabiliiy in outdoor lighting applica-
tions.
Versatility of Application
The light distribution pattern for the Vanguard is "built in" the
fixture by means of variations of light-cenier length. The same
reflector can be used in a multiplicity of light distribution varia
tions simplifying installation and malntenance of reflectors.
