To Whom It May Concern:

It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Kendra Beedle. As the assistant
principal and curriculum specialist, I have had the opportunity to get to know Ms. Beedle in her
work as both a regular education teacher and special education teacher at Belle Chasse Primary
for the past four years.

For three years, Kendra taught third grade ELA and collaborated with her team to implement the
Common Core State Standards; writing units of study and assessments, selecting texts and
preparing students to successfully take the state assessment.

She is always willing to take on any duty or task and works well with everyone. When our school
needed to fill an opening in a 2nd/3rd grade special education class, Ms. Beedle was up for the
challenge. She graciously accepted the task and has done an outstanding job. In her classroom
she is collaborative, setting up structures that allow her and the paraprofessional to work together
to provide instruction. She is a fast learner and organized. She quickly mastered writing and
implementing IEPs and manages all the paperwork associated with special education. She was
quickly noticed by district level personnel in the special education department as an asset to our
program.

Kendra is always striving to improve. She participates in grade level PLC’s on a weekly basis.
She also seeks out professional develop opportunities on her own. This year she attended a 2-
Day Seminar, “Get Your Teach On” to learn about boosting student engagement. She
implemented lesson ideas that she learned, including transforming her classroom to an operating
room for a lesson on contractions. She also sought out and attended a workshop called
“Decoding and the Struggling Reader” to learn about how to better support her students. And, to
support a school-wide initiative, Kendra attended a Growth Mindset seminar presented by BER.

I certainly don’t want to see Kendra leave our school family, but if she does decide to continue
her career elsewhere, I don’t have any doubt that she will be a valuable addition to any faculty.

I would be happy to speak to you if you would like more information about Ms. Beedle’s time at
Belle Chasse Primary.

Sincerely,

Anna Lincoln
Belle Chasse Primary Assistant Principal
