Los jóvenes bebieron mucho esa noche.

Yo fui a mi casa después de la fiesta.
Ese pueblo fue un ejemplo a seguir.
Macarena estuvo enferma la semana pasada.
Yo hice mi cama ayer.

Otros verbos irregulares: andar ­ anduve, caber ­ cupe, dar ­ di, poder ­ pude, poner ­ puse, saber ­ supe, tener ­
tuve, venir ­ vine.

Verbos Irregulares cambios vocálicos y consonánticos
Verbos con "O" cambian a "U": dormir, morir

Verbos con "UI" cambian a "Y": construir, concluir, huir, sustituir, incluir, contribuir, leer, oír

Verbos con "E" cambian a "I": mentir, medir, pedir, repetir, seguir, servir, advertir, consentir, sentir, sugerir, preferir,
gemir, competir

Mi perrito murió ayer.
Yo dormí hasta las doce del día.
Mi abuelo construyó el primer cimiento de este edificio.
Tú mentiste sobre tu edad.

Si te das cuenta cambian la primera persona singular y la tercera persona plural.

Verbos con "C" cambian a "J": decir, conducir, seducir, traducir, producir, traer

Verbos con "C" cambian a "Q": buscar, tocar, comunicar, colocar, chocar, explicar, fabricar, indicar, pescar,
practicar, sacar

Verbos con "G" cambian a "GU": apagar, llegar

Verbos con "U" cambian a "Ü": averiguar, atestiguar

Verbos con "Z" cambian a "C": alcanzar, almorzar, comenzar

Decir Buscar Apagar

Yo averigüe sobre aquel problema.
Ayer no alcancé a hacer nada.

Este fenómeno de dos puntos sobre la vocal U se llama cremillas e indica que la vocal debe pronunciarse.

Usos del pretérito indefinido
Se usa el pretérito indefinido cuando expresa una acción que fue completada en algún punto o momento en el
pasado.

Mi padre llegó ayer.
Carlos fue a la tienda hoy.
¿Quién te llamó?
Tomé desayuno a las 7 de la mañana.

Puede indicar el fin o el comienzo de una acción en el pasado.

Los árabes llegaron a España en el año 711.
Salieron de su territorio el 1492.
En tanto, terminé mi informe, empecé con el otro.

Expresiones para usar con el pasado:

En esa época
En esos (aquellos) años
En aquel entonces
En esos (aquellos) tiempos
En la década de los 60, 70,...
En los años ....
Antes, ayer, anteayer, anoche, anteanoche.
La semana pasada, el mes/año/siglo pasado, años atrás.
Hace días/semanas/meses/años.
El otro día.
Durante el siglo (dos siglos, semanas, días, etc.)...
