That had been a horrible night at work. Lots of patients had arrived with different types of
injuries caused by the accident on 45th street and the 7th avenue. Although her shift had
finished two hours ago, she was still there. She needed to go for a walk in the open air, just turn
the corner and get a coffee at Mel’s. Maybe some pastries. They were home-made, not like the
ones Peter brought last weeek to celebrate his birthday, ugh! That day they all had to go to the
toilet several times. Peter said he had bought them in a shop of his neighbourhood. How could
he live there? If she were a doctor she would never live in that area of the city. She began to
walk thinking that she needed also to write an email to her cousin in Florida. Miami, sun,
beach…..Lucky her!
