Reflection
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)
1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology coaching and technology leadership from completing this field
experience?

For this project, students were asked to sort pictures of objects that can be observed during the day and night using the Mimioboard software. Students were
also asked to do this independently at their desks in collaborative groups. Students also watched animations of the Earth’s rotation while learning about the
cause of day and night. Students also watched instructional videos about the differences between day and night.

2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you be able to do) and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs,
enthusiasm) required of a technology facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to the standards you selected above. Use the language of the PSC
standards in your answer and reflect on all 3—knowledge, skills, and dispositions.)

Knowledge – For this project, I had to create several instructional materials that helped students understand the vocabulary words. I had to create a
Mimioboard lesson on day and night based on the vocabulary words I was teaching the students. I also had to teach the students how to interact with the
Mimioboard,
Skills – In order for this project to be completed within the given time period, I had to use several teaching methods such as whole group and small group
instruction, modeling, comparing and contrasting, formative and summative assessments, etc.. I also checked the students’ progress constantly to make sure
they were on track.

Dispositions – I remained a facilitator during this unit. I was able to make myself accessible to all students during all the stages of the activities. I provided
feedback of their work in order to clarify misconceptions.

3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or student learning at your school. How can the impact be
assessed?
This learning experience helped students reinforce the topic of the day and night. They were also able to share their thoughts with others. Students learned
how to compare and contrast objects based on day and night. Students also learned that Earth’s rotation is the cause of day and night.
