4. Film Tourism: take advantage of the
promotion of Ireland through films
such as Star Wars: The Last Jedi

extended the promotion of their
landscape – e.g. Machu Picchu , Uluru

1. Litter population: illegal dumping, lack of
respect by locals of the landscape

site versus those coming for a site. E.g.,
UNESCO World Heritage site – Scellig
Michael may be damaged due to
overcrowding. The tourists are visiting
it because of its connection to Star
Wars and perhaps not because of its
world heritage aspect etc.
2. The need and urgency to protect the
landscape and avoid one-off housing,
overpopulated areas.
3. Coastal erosion and rising sea levels.
