Participant investor who invest in equity market are 15 (23%) have occupation as business, 14
people (21%) are employee in various sector, 10 people (15%) are professional, 3(4%) are
providing services like insurance adviser. While other 16(24%) from which 7 people have

Interpretation
I took occupation segment to define the way people trade in equity market because the
timing of stock market trade time is 9.15 to 3.30. It is the time where we are busy in our daily
occupational actives like business, study or other jobs. 1
o 18(17%) people trade in intraday in which 4(6%) are business person, 8(12%)
are employees 2(3%) are professional, 2(3%) are service holder are 2(3%)
o In delivery, 86% people trade in which 20(30%) are business people, 15(23%) are
employees, 6(9%) are professional and rest 11(16%) are students.
Only 3(4%) people are doing trading in arbitrage and 16 (24%) people do hedging in
equity market . some of delivery trader take hedging along with him
Intraday trading –
It is one day trading only it means securities which are purchased and sold with in the day
delivery trading
When we buy and selling of securities takes more than one day, it is called delivery based
trading, generally it is considered safer than intraday.

These investors who willingly take higher risk to get more than average profit peculators aim
primarily at quick profit from a short-term acquisition of assets
arbitragers
“Arbitrager means who purchases securities in one market for immediate resale in another in the
hope of profiting from the price differential of markets for example a person buys share from
BSE and sells at NSE to take adage to price differentiation between two markets
Hedging
Hedging is one kind of risk control tool of trading, some people goes for option market to
recover the damage or to save the position from down market.

Most of people have influenced from friends to enter in market which is 33.8% , 20% people
